Blind Spot Turn Signal Beep

Hey all,
Are the blind spot monitors supposed to make a sound if a car is in your blind spot while you have your turn signal on? Our veloster has this feature as well as the visual light on the mirror, and I feel like it makes it so much better. Trying to figure out if the BS does or not. If not I would be pretty surprised, I feel like the sound with the visual light is a great safety. Thanks.

No sound. Just the amber lights in the mirrors.

A sound would just be annoying.

Our veloster has this feature as well as the visual light on the mirror, and I feel like it makes it so much better.

You should be looking at your mirror before changing lanes, right? So the light should be all you need. If you have your mirrors properly adjusted you don’t even need the light.

My preference would be an audible alert you could disable but for some reason Ford just has the light.

I too wish it made a sound, just makes it that much better in my opinion.

I think I just saw in one of the Ford videos that if you have your turn signal on and someone is in your blind spot the icon in the mirror will flash, not just light up. Could be wrong but that is what I remember.

Only sound I've had is the cross traffic alert when backing.

There’s no audible traffic alert for the side mirrors. The Amber light is also solid if someone is next to you.
