Can you share the source that ChatGPT is using for its recommendations?
Yes I said I could do that but I’m not gonna - is too much work to copy and paste in all the links

“ The response without the provided sources is provided below. I didn’t paste the links to the sources (too much effort) but running the ChatGPT yourself will provide links to sources. you would need to look at the sources provided in your own ChatGPT session “

As I said in post #12:
Type this into ChatGPT or your favorite comparable AI Tool

You didn't provide links, but you did mention the source of the data in your first post. You didn't mention the source at all in your second post. I'm not looking for links, just who is making the claims.

I don't use any AI tools other than Google. I've read too many stories about AI hallucinations--it's becoming more and more common for AI tools to simply make stuff up, and no one seems to know why--to trust them without reviewing the source material. I find it easier to simply search on Google rather than add another layer between me and the source.

I'm not sure if this is a question, but see the link below to The Motor Oil Geek. I've been using Wally-world Super Tech for the past decade or so. It's cheap and readily available. Nothing I've read, from Blackstone, to Project Farm, to The Motor Oil Geek (that's a good video, BTW) suggests it should be avoided as long as its used as recommended by Ford. From your first post:

Budget-friendly synthetic oils like Super Tech can perform adequately over a standard oil change interval (up to 10,000 miles or 6 months) — even in tough conditions — but only if they are full synthetic and carry the latest API/SP and ILSAC GF-6 ratings. However, they may not perform as well as premium synthetics (like Amsoil, Mobil 1 EP, or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum) when it comes to long-term oxidation stability, sludge control, and high-temperature deposit resistance in harsh environments.
Super Tech 5W30 is full synthetic and meets or exceeds both API SP, ILSAC GF-6, and DEXOS standards.

Regarding change intervals, here's more from Blackstone:

What ChatGPT often does is to provide the sources but you have to click each source and there can be multiple sources on every reference - that opens a small window with the source and if it’s multiple you have to scroll across to see each source

each source is a link so I’d have to do all the above and copy and paste each link or take screenshots of the specific reference document (name of the doc, its date, page #s, etc)

not gonna do that which is why I provided the instructions of what I asked ChatGPT so anyone can repeat the same as me

if you don’t use ChatGPT or a reasonably good AI tool well can’t help there

I also provided the caveat in a prior post bc many people simple accept what the AI says - I’ve found errors and it’s easy to tell ChatGPT the correction

Regarding this “I've read too many stories about AI hallucinations..” I’ve read those stories as well and may be true on low quality AI tools (to me, currently Google Ai seems to be one of the worst offenders) but in general I don’t think it’s that bad especially with current ChatGPT - but I do cross reference and check sources or redo math calculations when the AI info I get back is of material interest to me.

This screenshot shows some sources on the post I made but as I said each has to be opened to see the specific reference
