Roof top tent has been installed but I'm not very happy with the way I had to mount it. It feels secure but I would prefer the rails to be directly on the metal.

Avoid the OEM cross bars if you want a RTT, I'll be replacing them eventually.

just keep the proper wrench / socket with you. i made a habit of just checking the bolts every time we stopped to fuel up.

Any chance you would sell or provide a dimensional sketch so I can put one of these together for myself?

I'm starting this build journal to keep track of everything I'm doing and maybe give other people some ideas.

Here are my build specs:

2022 Badlands
Area 51
Tow Package
235/65/17 Wildpeak AT3 tires

Ford Bronco Sport Badlands - Overland Build IMG_1009 (2)_LI

The main item I've been working on is a drawer system for the back, the dimensions are 41x26x12. That should give me just enough room to put my recovery boards behind the drawers. The reason I chose this size is because it allows me to fit everything I need in the drawers including larger items like my stove & propane tanks and enough room for my cooler to sit on top.

it's not quite done but some progress pictures:

One side was designed to have a pull out work area and wide enough to fit my camping stove.

Tie down anchors for securing it, I did one on each corner:

I'm currently covering the top with a thin layer of rubber, not sure how much I'll like it but I can always remove and sand.

Next things on my list:
Cover the pull out work area in something fire resistant.
Building in some partitions to organize my camping and biking gear
Assemble and mount a smittybilt overland gen2 RTT (currently sitting in my garage)
Any chance you would sell or provide a dimensional sketch so I can put one of these together for myself?

The dimensions are 41in wide x 26in deep x 12in tall. If I had to build it again I'd probably lower the height to 8 inches and increase the depth by 3 or 4 inches. Due to the seatback angel you're limited on the depth of the drawer.

I don't have a sketch but it was very simple to build, glue and screw a box together and then customize the drawer sizes based on your needs.

I used 1/2 plywood for the entire build, 2 sheets total. I used this site to optimize my cultist https://www.cutlistoptimizer.com/

You win. I give up.

I was watching your build thread with a lot of interest! Turned out fantastic!

What leg did you use at the of the pull out? I'm still debating using a piano hinge to attach a 20x24 extension to my work area. I left a two inch gap for that extension or a expanding leg.
That’s one of the sweetest cargo builds I’ve seen. I’m jealous: I lack the skills to even attempt a job like that. ??

I got a quick question for ya, Im looking into building something very similar to this but im not sure where to mount it to. Are there any places you mounted the rear of the setup to? My concern is that once the slide out is fully extented and with weight its going to want to tip the whole thing. Yes i am planning on getting a small leg like yours but I would like that extra confidence that I don't have to worry about my dog taking out the leg with the leash
