I was under the impression that if you got the optional Falken Wildpeak tires the full size spare would match. (tire not wheel). Instead I have a Pirelli Scorpion full size spare. Does anyone else have the same combo? There's only a 1/2" inch size difference but I wasn't sure if it would affect towing in an emergency. I've never towed on a spare. Emailed dealer but haven't heard back.

Ford Pass app says I already have a recall for an "Inside Door Handle Inspection" . Anyone else?

Glossy black trim behind drivers "C" pillar was scuffed. I wouldn't have noticed it without perfect lighting but dealer saw it during prep and ordered replacement. They said BS arrived that way so it's something worth checking. Hopefully an isolated case and not a problem during build.

There was a post earlier about one of the black pillar covers being scratched and the dealer ordering a replacement. Will be something to check on delivery if that day ever comes.

Does your Badlands have the leather wrapped steering wheel? I have seen reviews say that it doesn't not have it.

I’ll check the spare on my Outer Banks, it has Michelin tires.
As with any first year model, I’m sure we’ll all see more recalls.

Looks Like leather and feels like leather but I've been fooled before.

I somehow missed that post. Good to know we can help each other with things like this.

I test drove one without the leather steering wheel. Trust me you’d know right away if it was the plastic one. It’s not bad but definitely not leather.

That 1/2" difference shouldn't affect anything. You probably wouldn't even notice it when driving. Most vehicles have a compact spare that is substantially smaller than the regular tires.
When you say towing in an emergency, do you mean getting towed by a tow truck, or towing a trailer with the spare installed? Either way - it shouldn't matter. Maybe a little less traction on one wheel if you're the one doing the towing.

My OB has Michelins and a Continental spare.

2022 Badlands comes standard with a leather steering wheel.
