If I were a betting person, I'd say that BMW will do a much better job of satisfying their customers on this issue.

I wouldn’t take that bet, but remember:
a) They’re paying twice as much or more for the pleasure of owning a BMW
b) Since they pay so much more BMW has to work that much harder to keep them satisfied so they continue to think about paying the price for a BMW
or to quote a body shop I used to use a lot, “Price has no quality and quality has no price”

And, to be honest, I’m be unhappy with my vehicle on a flatbed, no matter what.

I kept my wife and son in a BMW while I traveled with my job. They were excellent in the way of customer service; she broke down once, and they came within a half hour with a courtesy BMW, and picked up her BMW.

It was repaired that same day (a faulty crank position sensor). She returned the courtesy car the next morning and picked hers up.

They always treated her with respect and kindness, and the repairs and courtesy cars were available.

Yep, we paid more for their cars, but at the time when we could afford it, it was well worth the piece of mind knowing while I was away, the wife and son would not be stranded.

Move forward to today and the BS, I am home now, and a good thing, as I do not have the confidence that this type of service is available with the BS and Ford.

You’re right about BMW (and Mercedes, etc). This is one of those situations where the old adage is right . . . “you get what you pay for”.
