We knew it was coming. Your first snowfall! How do you like it? It's the first snowfall of 2024. A light dusting of 8 inches. You and your driveway, were covered in a white blanket.

I'll do my best to keep the snow and ice off of you but be prepared to look like this on the best of days for the next few months. Welcome to winter! It's gonna be a blast.

Today I learned that 4 foot drift + slippery (GOAT)=STUCK! Thank goodness for AAA!

We got down to 14° overnight Friday, but clear and dry. It tried to snow, but no accumulation in my area. There was a prediction of snow for Tuesday, but now it says rain. ? Temperature predicted to Be 27°-37°. Why do I think the forecaster is going to be wrong on the rain. ?

I tell my grandkids, you have to take a no-thank-you bite before you can say no thank you. C'mon up to the STL area tomorrow; we're supposed to get upwards of four inches. We'll take a drive around the area in the Badlands together, THEN you can say yuck.

Welcome to North Carolina. Forecast was for an inch of snow with no accumulation. Schools are closed for a week and the governor has called for a state of emergency.?

My first 4 wheel drive was a beautiful 1992 Ford Explorer. This was in Westchester County in NY. Couldn't wait for the first snowfall. Finally got 6 or 8 inches and headed out for my first run in the snow. Came to a very steep hill where almost all the other cars were going part of the way up and had to back down. When my turn came, I flew up that hill without any problem. Things changed when I topped the crest of the hill and slid sideways down the other side. I thought I heard someone screaming and realized it was me.
Lesson learned. 4 wheel drive goes in ice and snow, but it doesn't necessarily stop.?
