Keep in mind that snow tires are not recommended in warm weather due to their soft compound, according to Michelin:
Also, bear in mind that tire manufacturers want you to use as many sets of tires as they can get you to purchase, AND the warranty is based on odometer readings, so they want you to have the winter tires setting in the garage for at least 1/2 of the odometer based waranty!

We used Blizzak DMV2s on our Escape with AWD the past three winters.

It was always interesting listening to people talk about how slippery and dangerous their commute or trip was when to us it was just fine. No slipping and sliding, just great traction.

Blizzaks and Ford’s AWD system are a great combination.

They may not honor the warranty if the tires are used outside of their recommended temperature range. This is due to the soft rubber compound overheating in warm weather conditions.
