136 days ?? Not to bad really.
Some forum members have had their BS/BL banished to the Mexican desert for 6+ months.
My BS/OB rode the train from Mexico to North FL by way of Chicago. ?? Took exactly 30 days.

Hang on, hope you get a "good" one, it's worth the wait.

Opps, previous post slipped in while I was typing.
To have your luck would be awesome, though sitting in my cold getting older camry with no heated seats makes a sabbatical in the Sonoran Desert sound like a fine idea

Sorry about your Brumating Sport. But you guys are funny. Mine shows shipped today. And I am in Chicagoland. Should I be worried?
You just have to check extra carefully for bullet holes. (There is a post about just that somewhere on this forum. I vaguely recall the owner posting was in Los Angles though.)

There are some on here that have had theirs sit in a lot in Mexico that long waiting on some some chips (or maybe some Salsa and beer). I think @69cuda340s can feel your pain.
Yeah mine done baked in the hot Mexican summer sun for 6 months. But it now lives the pampered life sitting in my garage......its all loves now....misery long forgotten......

I definately will! The South Side of Chicago is a tough spot, however if I did have one It would save me from buying one of those fake bullet hole stickers to give me street cred

Bronco Sport biologist here. Sports are fairly well adapted for cold weather, especially any subspecies with adaptations such as heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and block heaters. Although the Sport species as a whole is a generalist that has some adaptations for both warm and cool climates, there is a chance your Sport is of the South American subspecies. The South American subspecies is a warm-weather specialist which thrives in a temperate climate. This subspecies of Sport will brumate through the winter, decreasing metabolic levels to preserve energy through colder weather.

Seeing as your Sport is a juvenile and has not yet been exposed to cooler climates, brumation may begin earlier in the year and end later to increase survival rates. Although brumation is not the same as hibernation and allows for some limited movement and metabolic function, expect a slow and tedious migration to your Sport's new territory. Luckily, once your young Sport completes its long journey, it will arrive hardened by the experience and ready to take on any type of climate into adulthood. Remember, natural selection dictates that only the fittest will survive the winter.
This is awesome

Yeah that poor sport needs to come home where it can be loved, cared for, cherished. And the day will come, you'll be at the dealer, laying eyes on it for the first time. No way for me to describe how you will feel at that moment....but that day will come, you'll see, and you will experience. Hang in there we are all rooting for you....

At this point it may be better to just order another one. You'll probably get it sooner

That may be true, however if I run into the same delays my family might not listen to my complaining with the same sympathy the second time

I am not a snow bunny and get cold under 70 degrees f. But I find I'm wishing I could take my broncita to a cold climate as I hear they do so well in the snow, and the heated steering wheel and seats are just torture here (I wish every heated seat was also air conditioned. Yet I have heard of people using the heated passenger seat to keep their to go food orders warm on the way home)

Don't have time for a lengthy post. I'm still trying to find the definition of 'brumating.' 🙃

LMGTFY - In a nutshell, brumation is to reptiles what hibernation is to mammals.

Shipping Day 136, Do Bronco Sports Hibernate during the winter? Is it lonely being all alone in a shipping container in Chicago Heights? Do you yearn to use your off road prowess to burst through the snowy drifts of the Iowa Tundra? I am worried about you, first you sent me E-mails and texts telling me of your adventures in Nogales and East St. Louis, E-mails telling me of Accessories that we might explore together, now it seems like you are distant. I hope some day we can be together. Are you there Ford?, It's me Dave needing my Bronco Sport
143 Days In shipping, Yes Ford is Listening. My Bronco Sport has awakened from its Slumber and is cruising the snowy tundra of Iowa! Thank you for all that viewed and commented on this Thread. Thank you to Ford Social Media who reached out to me and found my vehicle and a Driver willing to bring my vehicle across the Mississippi and to my home. If you see a bright yellow/ slightly orange Big Bend cruising the cornfields of Iowa, give me a Hawkeye Wave, it's me Dave.
