Loud pipes are vastly overrated.
Had those in my youth. They get old and tiring very quickly. They also attract too much (unwanted) attention from our law enforcement friends. Quiet performance is the way to go for me. Cheers!

Following up on my air conditioner problem; it had a leaky low-side Schrader valve. They filled it up and checked it, found the problem, and repaired it under warranty.

They provided me a rental car while it was in the shop. I chose a Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi. It was fun for about a day, but I was never so glad to get the Bronco Sport back! Loud pipes are vastly overrated.
Good for you. Reading through this thread, there are some bad takes. It seemed like it was always a lack of freon due to a leakage (granted all your AC settings were correct).

I have never heard of any AC that won't blow cold air due to outside ambient temp being below 70. The AC just won't have to work as hard to cool it. That's all. But a closed HVAC system has nothing to do with anything else besides the condenser, evaporator, compressor and the freon pressure (or whatever they call it now that isn't freon ... freon2 or whatever).

They actually sell a freon charger with a dye kit and a UV pen. The trick is to fill up your system with the freon and then wait a while. If there is a leak, you inspect with the UV pen, and you can see where they dye is coming out of.

I also have a Mustang, and the issue there was the evaporator. Yes. Many S550 Mustangs had to have their evaporator replaced early. But it was a bad part, that was superseded by another part a long time ago, and it should have zero bearing on Bronco Sport AC operation.

The AWFUL thing about evaporator replacement is that it sits underneath the dash, so you basically got to strip the entire cabin out to ge it done. That's why such a grumbling from the Mustang owners.

Glad yours got sorted easy.

Can add our 2022 Outer Banks onto this list.
Had it in for service for non-functional A/C a couple of weeks ago.
Waited a full week while they held the car waiting for parts.
They ended up replacing the condesor unit.

Now, 2 weeks later, it is not working correctly again.
And is making noise like it is chewing something up.
Surging on and off with the blower... will keep you posted as to what they find.
