I was wondering does anyone regrets or recommendations for their Bronco Sport, things they added they wish they hadn’t, or the other way around?

I have a Big Bend that should be coming into the dealer any day now.

I've also heard about free accessories etc that some people felt they missed out on.

I tested a few Big Bend. Felt more than capable and really sold me on the sport. Great handling, comfortable ride. I opted for the badlands on suggestion of a couple dealers. Honestly for what I've used it for this far, it would have been fine as a Big Bend.
Accessories. Sign up for the Ford app. You get 42K points which amounts to $210 ford cash for accessories. You have to go through. Dealer and order parts in the service dept to get ford points accessories.
I bought locking lugs at the dealer, but replaced all my oem two piece lugs using amazon to get one piece steel lugs. I'm debating what I want to add with ford points.
I've done my own oil, thanks to step by step from others made it look simple and accessible which it was. I've done oil in the past, but my last few cars were low ride height sedans.
Overall, one month in the sport is a blast to drive. One of the best vehicles I've ever owned.

Very happy with a Big Bend here. Only flaps and tow package as extras. Bought it off the lot. Only others they had to compare with were base models. I like the factory rear tinted glass. Put in all weather mats to save the carpet. 1.5 is strong enough. Gas mileage is around 27.5 without babying and a/c most every day. Calculated by the computer not me doing math. Free accessories I don’t know. 0% for 4 years was good too.

My OB was pretty much fully loaded…..I could do without the cargo management…never used it yet and can’t see the huge benefit

I wish I would have ordered the optional tires on my Badlands, but I didn't like the pictures of the optional wheels that came with the optional tires. Oh well, I can always upgrade the tires.

The other thing to seriously think about is the NAV system. The Ford system is expensive ($795). In many ways, Apple Car Play and Android Auto are superior for mapping and navigation. Although, there are two features I really like about the Sync 3 nav package: SiriusXM Travel Link and the option to drop "breadcrumbs" to record your route details while you're driving.

Travel Link provides a lot of info on traffic, weather, fuel prices using voice commands, which makes it a little easier to access than the same info via Car Play or Android Auto. However, the latest Ford Sync updates turned off Travel Link for no reason and they haven't fixed it yet. Really angered a lot of people on this forum, including me.

Breadcrumbs are really nice to help find your way home if you're out enjoying trackless wilderness. I live in an open desert area and use it all the time. I find it very helpful, especially when you cross some fresh tire tracks and ask "are those mine? or is someone else out here that I have to watch out for?" Handheld GPS units do the same thing, just more handy to have that on the big screen.

Other than the Sync update problems, and the base Badlands tires (which really are not all that bad), I really like my Bronco Sport and I'm sure you will too. Purchasing the Nav package is a personal choice.

Hope this helps.

When I received my Badlands in April 2021, Ford was offering program #38158 which was $500 of accessories for no cost. I don't know if that program is still active but you should ask your dealer about it or any other non-advertised incentive. My paperwork says the program end date was 7/6/21, but they may have extended it. They do that all the time. Easy to ask about it.

We have an OB that we ordered. I have 2 regrets, wish I would have ordered the cargo management system, and wish I would have ordered the tow packge, I dont need that, but it would have come with a full size spare tire.
Don't get me wrong, we love our Bronco Sport.

The tow package doesn't get you the full size spare tire, Badlands and FE are the only vehicles that come with full size spare.

and really...I have the badlands with the 235s. Also have tow package which added a 225 spare...still a little small, and will get me home safely, but it's not exact replacement. If you didn't NEED tow package, it might be better/cheaper to just pony up and purchase a cheaper single matched full size and replace the spare you were given/

Is this something I have to do at the point of purchase so that it’s linked to my new car, or can I do this in advance?

Thank you for that info, I’m looking to get one straight off the lot, there’s one on its way to my preferred dealer, it’s arrived in the state, but not at the dealer yet.

You can sign up for the app now and even add the vehicle Vin and sales code. I never tried it but some were able to access their electronics once it was built. The Ford app allows you to lock and unlock doors and even start the vehicle. It gives updates and health of your car, oil status etc. I'm not s big app guy but this one is handy. Also links your email to your vehicle and you get the Ford points a few days after you take delivery. It's 42K which is about $210 in ford money for service or aftermarket upgrades.

Make direct contact with the dealer, have them tag it, put a deposit on it, whatever you need to do. I'm not joking when I say it won't sit long. A badlands I ordered but passed on didn't last two days on a lot.

The 235 AT Tires could have been ordered with the standard Badlands wheels? You didn't have to get the optional wheels to get the bigger tires?
