Thanks for the advice, Barry. I like using a smaller stubby type antenna. so I would buy one anyway.

I found my oem antenna from a ;19 Ranger I had. Seems tall. Is tghis the height of the BS antenna?

Slightly taller than BS OEM it appears

It's 8". I ordered a Craven 4" stubby.

I had the 4" Craven Stubby on my '19 Ranger but am tempted to go with the 2" version.

I bought the 2" Craven a couple of years ago. Doesn't get stations too well unless you're in town, but then all I listen to is Sirius anyway.

I've had the Cravenspeed Stubby pictured above on my BS BL for about 4 months, and it works great. Roof rack clearance for things like kayaks is way better than the tall factory antenna. Hardly any difference between this and taller antenna with FM/AM radio. And you can always swap them out.
