Ok so weird question. My 2022 Big Bend has 42k and now gone through 2 water pumps. Last one was put in a few weeks ago and I checked the coolant recently and noticed it was low AGAIN. Decided to fill it up to max in case they didn't get all the air out and that caused the low coolant. As I am putting coolant into the expansion tank right before it gets to the max it starts pouring it the bottom of the tank. Looks like from the middle. There's a cavity there. I have looked in the tank and underneath and see no cracks and appears to be right at a seam possibly at that middle stalk. Is this normal and acts as an overflow maybe or is the tank damaged. At this point I'm so tired of taking this vehicle into the shop to be repaired lol.

It sounds like there is a crack in your coolant expansion tank. The system is pressurized and there is no overflow for that reservoir. Are you able to get a picture of where it is leaking from?

That's my thought as well... I tried to get a photo but couldn't get a clear one...but here is a video I took when I first found it...you can't see where it's coming from but definitely didn't seem normal

Yea I removed it (without taking the lines off) to inspect the bottle. Just wanted to make sure this wasn't some crazy design to keep you from overfilling which I didn't think it was but I figured it didn't hurt to ask. I'm hoping I can get the dealership to pay for it blame the fact I've had a flushed the system twice for two water pump replacements is what caused the issue 🤣🤣

It has a crack in it somewhere. That's a pressurized coolant tank. There is definitely no "crazy design" to preventing you from overfilling it.
