I realize that an annoying rattle is not the most important issue on the forum, but here goes. Several weeks ago, a very loud rattle began either from the front passenger door or inside the corner area of the dashboard in my 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend. It is difficult to determine exactly where it is coming from. It only occurs at highway speeds, regardless of type of highway (rough or smooth). Anyone ever heard of this or know of a solution. I would take it to the dealer since the vehicle is still under warranty, but I haven't had good luck in past years with other vehicles in trying to get rattles fixed.

I’ve got a rattle I can’t locate in the rear interior. I understand your frustration. Mine sounds like plastic rubbing against other plastic.

I’ve taken my door panels apart, it could possibly be one of the plastic clips isn’t fully inserted into the corresponding metal on the door.

Mine was rattling in the instrument bezel area. If I pushed gently on the clear plastic, it would shut up. I cut a small piece of neoprene from an old wetsuit and jammed it between the clear plastic and the surrounding trim. This quieted it down quite a bit and it is not visible. I have a rattle in the driver's door as well, not sure what's up with that. Mine is a '23. I love the car overall, but the interior fit and finish leave a bit to be desired. It's funny, we have an 18 year old Lexus ES that has been through two teenagers, still no interior rattles.

Wind related? Check moulding at rocker panel or liner inside wheel well. Mud flap?

For me rattles are very annoying and frustrating. I think am just more in tune to rattles than the average person and want them fixed. Last summer the dealer had my BS for about a month getting a rattle out of the passenger side A pillar. Mostly gone. Over the winter with colder temperatures the BS turned into a rattle magnet. There is a creaking rattle along the top of the dashboard where the plastic trim piece with the speaker covers runs the length of the windshield. That piece had to be replaced because the center speaker cover warped. There is a couple of rattles that seem to be coming from the rear of the BS, maybe the hatch but I can't pin point it. and if it doesn't happen when the dealer drives with me than they can't fix it.

Now that the weather is starting to warm up the rattles are subsiding so I apparently have a car that doesn't like cold weather. I have owned Fords for many years and while I do understand that rattles do happen, Ford seems to be worse than some other manufacturers. I recently rode in a couple of Hyundai's (Ubers) that were quieter than my Fords.

Unfortunately, Ford is notorious for using cheap plastics in the interior or the car. The Bronco Sport is no exception. So, rattles seem to grow like mushrooms.

I had a similar sort of rattle going on about a year ago. It was driving me crazy. Anytime I got up to highway speeds it would start.
-I took everything out of the vehicle, out of the glove box, pockets, spare tire, everything and drove it around and it was still there.
-Around the front wheel wells I found a lot of dirt and some gravel stuck behind the trim. I cleaned all that out and the rattle was still there.
-I removed the skid plate, got rid of some junk that was in there, even replaced the little screw-bracket things that attach the plate to the front end (I really thought this was going to be it), made sure all the bolts were tight, but the rattle was still there.

Here's what it was:
-I had been doing a lot of driving on gravel roads in the mountains (heading to trailheads, or just off-roading for off-roading's sake). Gravel, and a pretty good amount of it was living on the various protective covers under the vehicle. I'm not talking about the hard skid-plate, but those flimsier protective covers down there.. there are like 3 or 4 of them, I can't remember. Just by slapping the bottom of them, I could tell there was a lot of gravel up there and I finally was able to duplicate the sound that I was hearing while driving.
-The fix ended up being, removing what shields I could and shaking the gravel out, and/or just using a blower to blow the gravel out (one of the shields really didn't want to come off easily all the way, so I just used a small leaf blower).
-Put everything back together, tightened it all up, went for a drive and RATTLE FINALLY GONE and sanity partially restored.

Pic attached so you know what sort of shield I'm talking about.

Final note: It might have been possible to get all the gravel out with a blower alone, but it's just awkward getting it angled right, so I just decided to take what shields I could off.

One of the reasons I got rid of My 2023 BS BB was the bad rattles it the dash[even in the warm weather],system off to save battery in the cold weather and fuel gauge that wouldn't register over 7/8's of a tank. I have a 2025 Maverick now with a clicking noise in the passenger side windshield area when it's below 40 degrees which I've heard is the windshield alignment pins. Over 40 degrees no clicking noise at all.
