Strip your 21 of all the ‘rare’ parts before you trade it in. Or better yet when it’s time to sign that dotted line make the dealer move the 2021 exotic bits to your 2022.
Just tell them your simply trying to get one complete car out of the 21 and the 22.

But I bet you're missing the engine cover. I think the date for this thread is just the official date of the TSB. People have already talked about the '22 2.0 not having covers.

My badlands was built in the very first week of production for the 22 model year. It does not have an engine cover. I could be wrong, but I doubt any of the 22s have them.

I have two (2) engine covers for the 2.0L Badlands Sport that I'd be willing to sell/trade. I'll gladly trade them straight across for an F-150 Lightning Lariat w/ ER battery and max tow package. Haters need not respond, I know what I've got here.

I can't guarantee it's a good number, but I cheekily posted the underside of mine in another thread. It happens to have the FoMoCo number molded into it. Maybe their parts dept can work with that?

Before these engine cover threads started, you couldn't have ever convinced me that such a meaningless item is important to so many.

I don't know if Ford is shipping any BS's without auto stop, but they are some vehicles to save the chip for use elsewhere. MY son-in-law ordered an Explorer Timberline and will pick it up tomorrow. On the sticker it shows auto stop deleted with a credit of $50. Most people hate it anyway.

I was convinced when the exact same forum discussions occurred for the 2012 Focus. Ours was a late 2012 build and didn't come with one.

That’s a missing item that I wouldn’t mind if mine came without. I absolutely hate startle-start.

I selflessly give up my startle-start chip so that another may have it. This is a great sacrifice on my part but I believe in sharing with those in need.
