I've decided to finally add an air hose so that I can inflate my tires with it and run air tools.

I just had to order a 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch adapter because the only holes I have left in my tank not used are half inch ones. And they only sell them in packs of two but that was only like $8 and then I ordered a six foot airline to go from the tank back around the air compressor and stuff and then have it sticking out of the floor so I don't have to drill anymore holes which was about $15.

Then I can just connect my recoil air hose to it but when I'm done it'll just leave a foot or two of cord hanging that I can tuck away and I can disconnect my longer recoil air hose. I'll put a pick when I'm done.

Also, if anyone's going to be wanting to watch for an update on my controller it's probably not going to be anytime soon. I'm going to be putting my money towards other things and just leave it as a manual system for now.

But one good thing is that I was looking at Accu-Air vu4 add-ons, and it does look like I will be able to use my clone VU4 valve solenoid or manifold they call it, and plug that into any VU4 add-ons for like height sensors and stuff.

But there's a lot of versions of these. So if anyone tries to do like me and use the clone version, you need to make sure that if you're going to be doing like height sensors or automatic controllers that it has the same wiring as the AccuWeather VU4 manifold.

Can the compressor/tank supply enough CFM to support air tools? Most air tools require a substantial amount of air to function properly. Cheers!

that is a good point. I hadn't thought about that. Well the parts to do it came in but I'm on a business trip right now so hopefully I'll be able to let you all know this weekend. Yeah my home air compressor had like a 20 gallon tank and was like seven or 9 CFM at some pressure I can't remember and It would run any tools I had on error for forever and I'd have to cycle on much. so it'll be interesting to compare this one with the 3 gallon tank and I don't know what the CFM rating is but I'll post it if I can find it.

So I just looked and the brand name viair 485c compressor. Most brand name kits use is rated 2.2 CFM at 200 PSI and I use the cheap Amazon one which looks like it's rated at 1.7 CFM at 200 PSI and my home air compressor 20 gallon tank was like seven or nine CFM and I think the PSI was like 100 or something I want to say.

So there'll definitely be a difference but hopefully it'll still be enough to run like an air ratchet with a decent amount of torque and I know I have like a saw and an air hammer and stuff and it would be cool to be able to carry those around in case I had to do repairs on the trail and I'm of course going to have the adapter to air up tires and I also have the adapter that just kind of blows air to like clean stuff off.

So I finally got down to trying to figure out that slow leak and it turns out one of my valves had a broken o-ring so I'm hoping that's the issue. But I also found some crud in there. I took the whole valve body apart in case someone wants to see what's inside these things.

I'm going to try and cleaned out the best I can. Look for any other issues. You can tell that it's not drilled with as much precision as a brand name would be but hopefully when I put it back together there won't be any leaks and it'll save me 450 bucks

I had some family stuff going on so I didn't get to finish. This is soon as I wanted but I took one of my plugs out of my air tank and hooked up an air hose to it. So I can now run air tools off of my air compressor set up for my air suspension as well.

Wow! I just read through this post, and I'm impressed. I wish the Badlands came with air suspension. I would have paid extra for that. I have to wonder what you do for a living if you do this for fun. Cheers.

I'm just a boring accountant, although I have done other things in my life. Also, the air suspension actually isn't that hard even with making your own compressor setup. If you can replace shocks, run wires, and have basic knowledge about installing electronics on a car you can do air suspension. Running wires was kind of a pain and I still wish I hid them a little better. But even doing the electricals long as you take your time and have a plan. It's not that bad. And it is still working good knock on wood and I do love it and it is super fun.

And, it actually has been helpful off-road although because I have mine set so I can lower it really low for my dog to get in and out easier when I raise mine to get extra clearance higher than stock I basically have to max out the PSI like 100 PSI. So it is very stiff whenever I raise it over stock ride height. But whenever my dog does pass I have some spacers and I'm going to change it so that it's set in the exact middle and then I'll be able to raise it higher and it won't be as stiff then unless I raise it really high like 3 in higher than stock which will be the highest setting and it'll go about that much below stock too. Right now it drops like 4" or so down and 1.5" up approximately. I forget the exact amounts.

I'm actually trying to figure out my next mod. I was going to do 360 camera but I've decided to see if I can get the limited slip that went in the focus RS front diff/PTU to work on mine. I also saw that they make them for the focus ST and so if the focus RS won't work maybe that one will even if the focus ST is not all-wheel drive but it's all in my post but unfortunately on that one I'm definitely going to need some help figuring out if that work or not. Unfortunately I don't have a spare $1,500 to just order and try and Quaife wasn't much help so far.

I finally measured the clearance under my baby bronco after raising the air suspension And so I am measuring from that. I don't think it's the catalytic converter. I think it's just a resonating chamber, but it's like a big cylinder bigger than the exhaust pipe. That's a couple inches long and normally at stock height. It's 8.6 in from the ground to the bottom of that when I had my air suspension all the way up in the front and the rear or at 100 PSI which is as high as I like to put it. I had 10 in of clearance so I'm getting about an inch and a half of clearance and I could always put in spacers like on a lift kit to make it higher. But right now my doggy needs it to be able to go pretty much as low as possible. So that's as high as it'll go for a while but I thought that was pretty cool
