What about effect on gas mileage? Has anyone compared MPG before and after installation of the Aeroskin II deflector?

I'll gladly give up some gas mileage if it deflects at least 25% of the love bugs coming at me in May here in Florida!

But, It would be an interesting data capture to see if/how this effects the aerodynamics of the front end.

Just a Google inquiry. General opinion is a 1-3% reduction in MPG. As you say, well worth it if it cuts down on the bug splatter.

So if my math is correct (.01 times 28 (my average around town)) equals .28 loss of MPG.

The love bug splatter adds weight. Weight reduces MPG. I'm not however going to weigh the amount I wash off each day I drive the BS.

Don't forget added drag due to the interruption of laminar flow.
Now my head is starting to hurt.

"laminar flow, also called streamline flow, type of fluid (gas or liquid) flow in which the fluid travels smoothly or in regular paths, in contrast to turbulent flow, in which the fluid undergoes irregular fluctuations and mixing"

Sounds like the definition of 'overintellilectualization.'

Now your just trying to blow my head.
overintellilectualization - Intellectualization involves a person using reason and logic to avoid uncomfortable or anxiety-provoking emotions

overintellectualized; overintellectualizing
transitive verb
: to intellectualize (something) to an excessive degree
in context:
What drives us Bronco Sport Owners to overthink and overintellectualize what is, in essence, a deceased insect?
