What is this little cover? It has a little teacher to keep it from falling out of the dash when removed, it has a notch to make removal easy….but what is it? What purpose does it serve? I looked I. The manual and the quick start guide, and I cannot find anything about it. I even removed it and looked behind it, and I can’t see anything back there.
Inside is a short lanyard. If you ever get stalled out or it won't start ND you need to push the vehicle to the side if the road etc. Remove the plate by putting a key in the notch, pull the yellow lanyard and what it does enables you to move it out of park to neutral so they can load it onto a flat bed or as I said be able to push the vehicle. Otherwise you are a dead duck and you won't be able to move it. Hope that helps.
