Larger dealerships will typically have more dealer allocation but they also have more customers so dealership size should not make a difference.
Really depends on a number of factors. I placed three identical orders. The large dealership never placed the order until three months later. I placed the order in September and it’s finally arriving to the dealership. The second dealership marks the new cars up $3k - $25k on inventory so they never got a production date even after 6 months. FoMoCo hates when the dealers tack on dealer markups.

That doesn't sound at all the way ordering works, or should work. I placed my order through a smaller dealership, the salesman went into WBDO and submitted it immediately, and I had the confirmation email from Ford before I finished wandering around the dealership's lot.

After doing 3 different orders from 3 different dealers/brands I have come to the conclusion the process is like that TV show Whose Line is it Anyways. Everything's made up and the points don't matter.
