Amsoil?

The biggest issue w/these engines now-a-days are w/the turbo chargers, which run very hot, as well as at very high rpms.

Have you ever watched the motor oil geek (Lake Speed Jr.) on YouTube, he uses actual science to analyze all aspects of motor oil and additives.

Like the video, a couple of days ago, I changed the oil only at 355 miles and went with Motorcraft full synthetic. I did it from the top of the engine using an oil extractor. I could only get a bit over 4 quarts out. Added 4 qts of Motorcraft full synthetic. I ran the engine a few minutes and got another 4qts out and I added another 4 qts of Motorcraft full synthetic oil to raise the synthetic percentage.

Just based on the types of reported issues here on the forum (unscientific anecdote), the turbochargers on these cars appear to be durable. Among other things, the latest oil specifications from API and ILSAC account for the greater heat generated by turbocharged engines. Amsoil makes good oil, but it's expensive. The data tells us any oil that meets the spec will work just fine as long as you follow the recommended change interval.
