Any1 see this yet error power train malfunction-gear selected will engage at low speed. So reverse light blinks will not move in reverse a lot of sputters in drive. went to go to work wrench light on and engine light on 21 sport with 46kmiles. dropped off at dealer a block away. Brand new battery maybe a month ago done at dealer also has had recent program update recall done. Have seen a few post online but nothing saying what was found on issue. was wondering if anyone has had this same issue and what was found. Sad day for sure. i got a message few hours later on ford pass saying transmission fluid pressure sensor circuit and its associated wiring.

Het assistance from Ford immediately. If dealer doesn't understand, find another dealer. Respond to requests from Ford on this site. Find a dealer that specializes in transmissions and have them, check all the error codes that you don't see. The combination of the error you see, the wrench icon and not being able to move the vehicle is enough to warrant a major situation that needs to be looked cat by someone that knows what they are doing.

....PS. the solution that addressed the combination of issues you note, and my BS Badlands not moving forward or backwards ended up being the need for a new transmission. A dealer, Anderson Ford in Kingman that specializes in transmissions (three dealers later) identified the issue quickly by reviewing tons of error messages logged, of which I saw a couple that were very strange. There were metal shavings in the transmission fluid filter. So the transmission and all related parts were replaced, and has run great since, and the winding sounds I heard since I bought it were also gone with the new transmission. Ford corporate will do all they can to stick by their commitment of service, but they hare limited in demanding it of dealerships, as they are independently owned and operated, and the knowledge, skill and competency of their mechanics and especially the service manager is based on who they hire, which is why we hear such a wide range of views on dealers. There are a lot of scum buckets and some really good and competent people among them, you just need to find the good among the mostly bad or clueless majority. GOOD LUCK in getting this taken care of.

On Aug 23 2024 I parked my 2021 BSBL for a few hours after a short trip. Got back in, cranked the car and "golden wrench of death" and engine light was on. I shut it off and started it back up and it did it again. I tried to back it up but "R" light just flashed and it would only go forward in the lowest gear. This was on a Friday. By Tuesday I received a message from my Ford Pass Ap: Powertrain malfunction / reduced power was the message. The Ford Ap said,... it was an electrical fault with the transmission fluid pressure sensor circuit and wiring.
The car was taken to the dealership that I purchased it from. They said, it was a transmission wiring harness issue based on the codes. They replaced that and nothing changed.
After 3 weeks I finally got a loaner. I was told that they would have to pull the transmission and do an inspection and repair, based on Ford's instructions. And a transmission replacement may be required.
My BSBL has 51K miles and I purchased it new with the 100K warranty, so I'm covered with the repairs. However, I wonder how long this will take?? I also wonder what's next!!!
I've enjoyed driving the BSBL, however I'll most likely sell it once it's repair and purchase something else. Maybe a F-150 XLT...

God these stories are seriously bumming me out. It might be similar to someone constantly reading about germs than developing a phobia but I might need to take a break from this forum cause at this point I drive my sport like I used to drive my old 84 f150 constantly obsessed with sounds and smells and vibrations and if it’s gonna break down any second lol. I’m sorry you guys are going through it!!

Here is an update. On Sept 26th I was told that the dealership had to contact Ford engineers. Ford has decided to replace the transmission.
Just wondering if this would fall under a "Deal Buy Back" option.
