One would think Ford would be announcing a production date and details on the refresh. It's almost July.
Ford is trying to figure out a way to let us down easily.

A 25 MY is in my trade cycle and I'm also considering a Bronco or a Chevy Colorado ZR2. Chevy has pushed the 25 production to Dec,. I wouldn't be surprised if Ford does this, too. Nobody in Detroit works the end of the year, so likely it will be Jan. This is just a part of the upside down world, we live in.

Mark, I think the Sync 3 HVAC controls should have been mounted under the screen and the storage bin below. That would have made them easier to look at and control.

I'm for the bigger Sync 4 screen, but not the HVAC touch controls. Curious, if the screen did go blank, will the HVAC controls still be visible.

If there not, that seems to be a safety issue to me. Not being able to defrost the windshield when needed certainly creates problems when driving.

I guess I can learn new things, even at my age, but some of these engineering decisions baffle me.

We can't change them, just adapt.
The APIM (in essence, the "brains" of the radio - in older Fords, usually the APIM is one part with the screen. In newer Fords, the screen is a separable part. BS, it's buried deep in the dash and requires a lot of disassembly to get to) drives the entire screen.

If the screen stops registering touch inputs, or dies, the climate controls in Fords with such a setup will not be operable. The APIM drives the entire screen and is networked with the climate systems. It is not a separate zone of the screen as in one that has a separate LCD panel and wiring (where hypothetically the "main" radio screen could die, but climate controls still display.)

APIM failures were common enough for a customer satisfaction program on Sync 2. I don't know if it ever has been for Sync3/Sync4, but I have heard about APIM failures on these forums and elsewhere for Sync 3 in the BS.

Can you really make the Sport look aggressive enough to be a Raptor? Performance yes, Looks I'm not sure, it will always be too cute.

A raptor has to have performance as well as looks. Engine and horsepower are easy, more ground clearance not so easy with the unibody. A real off-roader also needs a low range. Difficult to impossible with the Sport. And the huge mark-ups on the Raptors have disappeared. There are still 23's in inventory. I don't think people will pay a lot more for a Raptor decal on a Sport.

I am still anxious to see what 25 updates will be. Sure taking Ford a long time to make an annoucement of details and build date.

I've had 5 litres, 3.0 vulcans, 2.3, etc etc. There is nothing wrong with this little 1.5. Have no problems passing on the highway and get awesome fuel mileage...depends on what your needs are.
I suppose given enough time passing is fine. I almost had a Base or Big Bend Sport as a hood ornament on my Lexus last week. Fortunately I took the low road and went into the ditch. They tried passing a 18 wheeler hauling a large boat. I slowed down to give them plenty of time but that wasn’t enough. I’m guessing a change of clothing was needed when they got to the destination.
