So this morning I drove to work as normal with absolutely no issues, after work I came to start my ride there was 0 power, no lights nothing, luckily I had Gooloo jump pack with me, hooked that up and hit the boost button, nothing completely dead, checked the battery connections and started checking fuses but I couldn't find anything loose or blown. I just happened to wiggle the ground cable near the fender and it was loose, tightened that up with some vise grips I had with me then re-attached the jump pack and the car came to life.

I have read about battery issues with the BS, but I thought that issue had been fixed with the previous years, my battery is an AGM.

So couple of questions:
Can a bad ground drain the battery within 8 hours.
Has anyone else had a loose ground from the factory.
I've had the BS about a month and suddenly the ground is loose, seems weird.

I tested the charging system that's good.

I put the battery on an AGM charger and it was reading 12.6v after a 13 mile drive, I'll leave it on charge for a few hours and see what happens tomorrow.

That is weird it was loose. I have planned to remove all grounds to chassis that are painted, sand to bare metal, reattach and hit it with a little spray paint. I’ve done this on all my vehicles out of habit. Started from adding sound systems and wanting the cleanest power.

I wonder if it would be worth it to throw a lock washer on that grounding cable to prevent future loosening.

Yep that intermittent ground connection can cause all kinds of issues including incomplete charging of the battery

Several other owners also had the loose ground connection at the battery and at the fender (possibly from the factory) and you unfortunately did not see those posts that recommended owners make sure the ground connection is nice and tight

Thanks for the replies guys, I wished I would have saw those posts about the grounds being loose.

Battery has been on charge for a few hours and I'm at 13.8v, gonna take the charger off now, see what happens tomorrow.
