2023 Bronco Sport Big Bend Radio Issues

Looking for some help. Every time I start my Bronco the radio goes to AM, even if I was listening to Sirius XM before turning vehicle off.
Also I have to go into setting and change the presets lines to 4 from 2 at start up. Just started doing this. I made an appointment with my dealer
for July 9th. They stated that body control module recall would update the radio entertainment system and solve that problem. Although my phone is paired to
the unit when I go to make a call I get "searching for phone" and have to make a call using my phone instead of voice commands. This all just started ?

Same problem here… cropped up about 3 weeks ago. Sometimes the screen is just blank as well. I’ve got to bring it in for the recent recall and will make sure they check that out as well. Hopefully just a small hassle.

I should also add that scheduled start and remote lock/unlock also became non-functional at the same time and the vehicle location hasn’t updated since then either.

I had mine in for service 4 times for this. They finally got it resolved. It needed a new APIM.

The issue with the radio turning on at engine start is unrelated to the other problems. Every SYNC 3 equipped car I've owned over the past 10 years has behaved this way. See my post at this link for how to avoid your radio turning on when you start your engine.

The remaining issue can likely be resolved by updating your SYNC version as @Dude suggests, followed by a SYNC master reset.

Thank you for the replies. I downloaded the update to a USB and plugged it into the front port. After 10-15 minutes the update was successful. I turned the car off waited a few minutes and then turned it back on. It was doing the same thing as before. Should I try to download again, or wait until my appointment at the dealership in July?

Did you do a master reset from the screen?

After completing the master reset, what build number of Sync 3.4 is installed?

How do you do a master reset? I just downloaded the update this morning I would guess it's the newest.

15 minutes seems to be too quick for the sync install and I recall a few reboots are needed so you might not have followed the install instructions (which are online)

Use the 8” screen and check which version of sync is currently installed. Don’t use the ‘scan for updates’ menu item if there is one.
Use General > About SYNC

The current build of Sync is
3.4 Build 23188

Master Reset
On the center screen, tab on Settings
Scroll left or right to General.
Tap on General.
Scroll down to Reset.
Tab on Reset.
Tab on Master Reset.
Tab on Continue.

That body control module recall that "updated" my entertainment system was the beginning of the same issues you're having. Occasionally, I hop in the ole gal and the radio is on AM AND, I have yet to be able to pair my iPhone. Frustrating to say the least :-(
