Good afternoon everyone,

I'm new here, so go easy on me, and wanted to share my BB 1.5L MPG that I have been logging for a bit.

One note worthy mention is the first two entries are without the aeroskin2 wing while rest of the listings include it. I read on here somewhere that after adding the aeroskin2 the users MPG went up which i thought was odd so I thought I would Log it.

Great Data. Thanks.

As an aside, after your Aeroskin2 install do you notice your hood shaking at high speeds? I have read this on some reviews but have no experience with one. I love the look and potential benefits but not at the cost of chasing solutions to a shaking hood.

Thanks!

Yup it has the shakes lol even before the aeroskin2 but seeing the other post I will do that mod and it should go away :)

Thanks! Yeah, they look sweet. My hood doesn't shake or vibrate. Not sure the mod is worth the shake for me. Thanks agian!

I never worry about mpg unless they are orders of magnitude different. There are so many variables that affect outcome - temperature, course, wind, traffic, lights, differences in quality of gas, etc. I remember years ago Mythbusters tried testing and they used a one gallon gas container with the same gas, over the same close circuit track, with the same driver and same weather conditions. Then they tried switching individual conditions. That is probably the closest accurate way of testing.

Tracking mpg is useful, as it can help you spot potential issues. However, I find it's easier to use something like fuelly vs a spreadsheet. You can enter notes and other info, plus see what mpg others have. And it's free

fully agree on that for sure!

I did however drive the same route each day (home to work)
I purchased the same gas from the same station
The outside temp was generally the same
I left the internal temp set at 72f steady until it cold lol
I always used cruise control set at the speed limit even in city, oh fun fact you can cruise at 20mph in a school zone lol.

ya but all and all it appears to really not matter a whole lot. But I'm a control engineer by trade so I had to write all this down and put it on paper to believe it lol.

if the graph is for my bronco i guess im one of the few who get 28/29 ish lol. i guess the 1.5L doesn't waste a lot and I don't drive overly crazy!

thanks nice find!
