Don’t want to get your hopes up but you can always negotiate with FordI’m at 84,000 miles. ???. Does anyone think there’s any chance Ford would help with fix or should try to find a money tree? ??![]()
you are well beyond the 60k powertrain warranty however you can arm yourself by reading through the posts at the link I posted earlier - this will tell you there are a number of owners experiencing the same issue but of course the number of owners you will see that posted will be a tiny subset of the >500,000 Bronco Sports Ford has sold since 2021. You’ll also see the issue affects more than 2021 and you could argue with Ford the issue likely could impact all model years 2021-2025
(only Ford knows how many actual vehicles have experienced the issue)
Your owners manual provides an escalation section - I would try to negotiate with Ford and see if they would accept a sharing arrangement such as a 50:50 split where you pay 50% of the repair cost (keep in mind Ford’s “50%” split is much less than yours because you have to pay the full price for parts and labor while Ford of course does not) - often Ford will do such as split with the dealership service department (you at 50%, Ford and the dealership at “50%”).
Or maybe you would end up paying more like 70% because you are well over the 60k powertrain warranty but I suggest you start at 50:50.
It can’t hurt to try and if you use the escalation process and keep pushing to get a resolution you might get a decision in under a week if you are persistent in a nice way
Good luck!
