2021 Big Bend just quit suddenly

Regular battery in your BS. Battery maintainer that keep the BS fully charged when parked.

this car doesn’t sit for long. My husband drives it every day like 200 miles a day.
I’ve never heard of having to keep a battery charged when parked overnight.

We recently had the recall tube done I’m wondering if that guy messed something up on the car… because it started acting funny after that.

In a Charlotte, NC suburb. Fort Mill/Indian Land.
My BS can sit for a week or two. So I always use have had a battery maintainer in my second vehicle. Even for a couple of days in the BS. The batteries suck.

I doubt the drain tube is the source of your issues. The recall work also involved a software change, which MIGHT be involved. My guess is your issue isn't related to the recall work.

I’m confused with your response.
My Bronco isn’t a hybrid. Is what your talking about having to do with a hybrid battery charge?

So as I stated earlier … it completely died.
was towed to the closest dealership and I had to drive an hour plus to pick up my husband. Had the jumper cables and decided to jump it after the tow truck driver left us. It started but with low power. So we parked it and dropped the keys in the box. Received an alert that the car is now in sleep mode to save the battery !!?? WTF. So does it mean it is NOT the battery causing the issue?

There are not enough details in your description of the problem to make an educated guess at what might be wrong with your car. Many here are thinking battery because some of the symptoms you report have been reported by others whose problems were traced to a bad battery. Your symtoms are also indicative of fuel contamination. Your warranty will not cover a new battery or repairs that might be required by contaminated fuel. I would keep an eye on the local news for any stories about reports of bad fuel at the station(s) where you get your fuel. If you got a tankful of bad gas and you can prove you got it from a particular station--especially if you're not the only one--you should get any repair costs reimbursed from them.

Unfortunately, you are currently at the mercy of your dealership service department. They will have to perform a series of diagnostic tests to determine exactly what's wrong with your car. The good news is any issue (other than a bad battery, fuel contamination, or failure to properly maintain the car) that can prevent the engine from running should be covered under your 5yr/60K powertrain warranty.

My husband was coming home from work stopped at a traffic light, and the bronco just shut off no power whatsoever. He couldn’t even put the hazards on. He was scared for his life. He was waving traffic around him, and then he couldn’t get it in neutral, because there was no power. I’ve looked high and low and I can’t find any information on how to put this car in neutral with no power.
I did, however, find a bunch of people complaining that they have had the same issue where the bronco just shut off. There is no recall for this and I have never heard what it actually is like what the problem is. We had to have it towed the nearest Ford dealership which of course is not open on the weekend so we have no car. No rental car. No loaner car no answers and I’m very stressed out.
I noticed recently that the car felt like it was choking a bit when I was driving it my husband started noticing what I was talking about.
So has anyone else had this experience?
Is this a warranty thing?
What do I do?
