Haha dude, your posts are killing me. Just admit you got pussywhipped into buying a car you hate and move on.
Jesus! This really makes me question the people on this forum. Here this guy gives a very thorough review with his opinions and is just getting pummeled for not being 100% positive. Isn’t there just a point of “agree to disagree”.

Definitely, but every counterpoint made by us toward him was met with goofy hyperbole. I was talking about liking the cheaper plastic due to scratching issues and replaceability, for example, and he was like “what do you even do to your car man, keep cougars in there?!?!” So hey, if a man wants to talk shit then I can talk shit ;D

I actually don’t hate it at all. Most of my critiques were fairly mild, and the sentiment on many of them has been echoed by others who've responded. You may not be capable of this but most people can like something and view it critically. Overall I like it, definitely more than any products from any of the non-luxury brands at this price point, VW included. I've recommended it to a couple friends actually. One actually got a GTI instead, one decided to wait for prices across the market to come down before deciding.

If I hated it I'd say I hated it. I hate the Fiat 500. Probably the worst car I've ever driven. Had one as a rental for a week and was ready to drive it into a field and set it on fire after the first hour.

I'm actually just laughing my ass off about how butthurt/ridiculous some people get over some overall pretty mundane remarks. I've got you commenting about how great cheap materials actually are so you can bash it with a surfboard... because damage isn't as bad if you damage something cheap. (It would actually be a fair point if you were talking about the benefits of cheaper parts if you were paying replacement costs for everything you damage, but that's not the angle you took.) You even said you prefer cheap wipers? C'mon man. you also don't even have a badlands.

Then we’ve got the guy with poor spatial awareness talking about apples and cakes(?) and 911s and wagoneers when the suv he sold to get a sport is actually smaller than a golf.

Can't make this shit up.

I'm sure theres a thread somewhere on the internet where someone calls the Sport an Escape in wolf's clothing to go off on or talks bad about the 1.5 (it's not a great engine) for you to go set straight.

Already looking forward to your participation in my Bronco Sport Badlands Drag Strip review thread if I'm able to sneak away later this summer and get some passes in. Gonna be even better if its got a JB4. I can picture it now. I'll say something along the lines of "as expected, not a great drag racer". You'll respond with "something something offroad something something 1.5 something something rip it something something over a river and through the woods" and Bronco307 will still be talking about 911s and cake. Cannot wait.

Did you really not get the Talladega nights reference?

Some people don't handle criticism of something they like very well and have napoleon complexes. Case in point.

Honestly, the most I hate about it is car culture itself. Any time I try to talk about the bs online or off, queue the deluge of certified cool guys "That's just an Escape! How pissed were you when the full size Bronco came out? GIIIRRRLLLSS CAAAAARRR" I swear, car enthusiasts are the most insufferable subculture of them all; no matter what car you have, a big chunk of people are going to viciously hate on it. At leasts nerds and gun nuts can be civil some of the time lol

A cougar in your Bronco would be quite a conversation starter
Ride around with tail gate glass up with Cougar looking out? And interior panels got scratched?

I have a Badlands on order but currently have a Big Bend. I had the same "problem" with the transmission. I read some posts about going with premium fuel and tried that. I have found that running the mid grade makes the Big Bend shift perfectly. Not sure what the connection is but it has worked for me. If the Badlands already requires premium, then I doubt this will work.
Actually a great suggestion. It doesn't and I've been putting 87 in but going to change that next time I fill up and see how that goes. Winter blend gas also sucks so I'm sure the 87 its been getting has been bad. May also help with some of the other weird ticks the engine has. Some other turbo engines will pull timing with lower octane. Just another reason to get a JB4 so I can run some logs.

Your wife would kill her.
And then we'd take advantage of the Bronco Sport's Herculean Off Road capabilities and dispose of the body someplace so remote, so off road, no one else would ever be able to reach it, unless they too had a Bronco Sport.

Usually takes a couple tanks before ECU adjusts. And its subtle change. But mine seems smoother quieter even on lite throttle. Won't hurt running 87 for budget minded ppl. Like you said it pulls timing to protect eng and most ppl don't care.

Might consider boost leak check. Common for clamps on hot side intercooler piping need snugged up a little bit.

Do you know if they're accessible without removing the belly pan?
