Here’s a picture of a stock base with tinted windows and stock tires.

Here’s a pic of the same setup stock height with BFG KO2 245/65/17

Here’s it with same setup on a 4WP 1” level.

So far the ride quality stayed the same and no janky noises from the suspension, I think the slight difference in the look from the base compared to just tires is a great investment as far as tires and 1” not so much.

here’s a cost breakdown for thought.
Base: $27000 (new)
Tint: $250
Tires mounted balanced and installed:$618
Lift with warranty, parts, labor and alignment: $916

$28784 up to this point.

Ford Bronco Sport 1” lift level kit .. Is it worth it? CD899E09-FE7A-4F6D-B155-4903778D25F1

of note no rubbing with just stock height with 245/65/17 KO2 BFG AT.

what are your thoughts?

Yeah all I did was call 4wp and they had the readylift, rough country and 4wp level kit in stock. The guy recommended the 4wp one since they have been installing them for dealer vehicles.

I did nothing to modify for fit. All of the progression of the build has been done professionally with no cutting, grinding, etc. This is true even without the lift 245/65/17 will fit on stock height with no issues that I encountered.

of note: the 4WP level lift is a 1” front and 3/4” back spacers.

So,,,
No rubbing when actually articulating the suspension?
Like, did it not rub when turned tight and hit a pothole or in and out of ruts ?
I’ve been getting the impression people are just tooling around on pavement turning this way and that thinking there is no rubbing while not thinking about what happens when the suspension is compressed to near max.
225’s, 235’s are said to clear just fine but 245’s need at least some trimming of a few things in the wheel well..
any thoughts people ?

This confused me, “of note: the 4WP level lift is a 1” front and 3/4” back spacers.”
My stock base model is level.
Tell me why anyone would want a front end raised more than the back ?

My BL rear end sits a little higher; I believe to offset when you have a "load" on the hitch or fully packed up inside. Most "spacers" I've seen for the BS the rear is less than the front to even out the stance.

Mine sits at a very slight forward rake… measured from ground to bottom of the wheel well centerlined with the wheel and had about a 3/4 inch difference from back to front. I am sure a lift is in my future though just to have the better stance and fit real tires.

I think it looks badass with or without the lift. If it were me I probably would have had the wheels powdercoated satin black or dark grey but that's just my personal preference.

I plan on slapping a set of 245/65/17 KO2s or Wildpeak AT3Ws on my FE pretty soon.

I tend to agree. A thousand dollars for a one-inch lift? Not worth it for me. It seems that most of the people on this forum are more concerned about looks than performance. I've given some thought to upgrading my BL with 235 Falken AT3's to 245. Or perhaps the KO2's. Not sure about how the KO2's perform on the highway, though. Is there noise? I don't want to give up the quiet ride of the AT3's.

I've been in CO for a month and the Falken 235's have performed flawlessly. Get good traction on slippery uphill fs roads and trails. I seldom need to use 4wd, just turn off the traction control so both front wheels pull. But, I live in OK and there is much more mud there. The aggressive treads of the KO2's would be a plus. Seems most everthing is a trade-off.

One thing I've learned on this trip is how useful the trail control is on long downhill trail runs. Even in M and 1 gear, the vehicle wants to run away on steep trails. It's much easier and relaxing to just set the trail control to suit the terrain. But, the trail control uses the brakes which causes a lot of wear.

No rubbing at stock height with 245/65/17 even with all the potholes around the colorado springs area, I can definitively assure you that this did not happen, I will, however, tell you that this tire was pair with the stock wheel so I don't know if that would make a difference.

BTW $618 mounted & balanced is a damn good deal. A set of KO2s at that size are $780 from TireRack.
I got the tires from discount tire and they bought my old tires which gave me a good discount.

There is definitely road noise with the K02 especially of the tread pattern, but it's not as bad as the mud terrains on my truck.

I've been thinking of going with the 245s as well... eventually would like a lift but good to hear you haven't had issues with that size. Have you taken any trails or Forest service roads with it yet? P.S. i want to go to your Discount Tire! mine said they'd only do like $20 a tire....

So to me, the front end of the bronco is lower than the back when we bought it. This is not a deal-breaker and I am fine with the way it looks. I just wanted it to sit a bit higher for a little bit more clearance.
