I have read from many people about the clunking of their level kits, but seems to me that this is an issue of installation (maybe). I had mine installed (4wp 1”) for several weeks and have not encountered this and did not need any rubber padding either. Maybe your onto something with resolving...
IMO, the way you should approach this is what works best for you. I picked the K02 due to the look and performance in snow and rugged terrain, and do not mind the trade off with gas, to me if I need gas I’ll get more and not to worried about long commutes due to the work being close to the...
Have you searched anywhere for parts?
there are a couple of options such as Woolworth level kits, 4WP, rough country and ready lift that I know of.

I had initially called for the readylift and they suggested going with the 4wp one instead since they already had one in store for all the dealer installs, I think online is a different stock than in-store. They scheduled me 4 days from the date I made the call and deposited half of the payment...

So to me, the front end of the bronco is lower than the back when we bought it. This is not a deal-breaker and I am fine with the way it looks. I just wanted it to sit a bit higher for a little bit more clearance.
No rubbing at stock height with 245/65/17 even with all the potholes around the colorado springs area, I can definitively assure you that this did not happen, I will, however, tell you that this tire was pair with the stock wheel so I don't know if that would make a difference.
It all depends on where you get it done, prices should be dependent on packages but your looking at $500 for your whole car including windshield and rims.
