Well end of the road after 40,000 miles and plenty of trips with the “Bronquito”. Found an excellent deal with no mark up on a 2023 Black Diamond and chose to upgrade!
Yeah I’m looking at changing my rough country lift to the flat out with the overload springs. Does anyone know how the subframe spacers work? Does it decrease your ground clearance by 1.5” or does it lift the body above the subframes by 1.5”?
I have the 1.5L and have experienced something similar, what you need to do on steep approaches is to click the “L” button so it stays in first gear. Otherwise there’s a weird lag between 1/2 gear and when the turbo kicks on. Also, using premium fuel gets rid of the turbo lag generally.
If you don't mind paying the premium (goes for about $850). I 100% recommend the Pakmule Scout. Its all aluminum so it won't rust and it's lightweight at 37lbs. It also has a 500lb weight rating. I've used it for camping quite a bit and a cross country move from California to Missouri.
Currently torn between upgrading to the flat out suspension with overload springs to accommodate a roof top tent and a vehicle loaded with gear or trading the BS in for an LR4 or Defender 110. If anyone has owned an LR4 before and could offer pros and cons in regards to the BS that would be...
Still waiting to see what other options come out! I feel that $650 is a little steep for what it is. But, I plan on buying one this year. I drive cross country quite a bit and worry about small deer or animal strikes. I wish they had a mini ranch hand style grille guard....now that I would drop...
Has anyone used snow chains on their BS? I have larger tires and a 1.5” spacer lift and I’m concerned that the chains will not have enough clearance!
Currently torn between the RC Bull bar and the Black Horse Grille Guard. Ideally I would like to get the Grille Guard but not willing to purchase for $700 given there are no reviews on it and I’m not familiar with Black Horse products.
Also, it looks like you have to permanently remove a piece...
