I dont think there was really any drop in MPG. I put them not too long after we got it. I have taken plenty of road trips with a lot of weight in the vehicle and its handled great. Feels more planted on the road. Probably not going to do a lift on it anymore since there is zero rubbing and not...
I kinda dig the Carhartt ones, if those arent your cup of tea then check out Katskin seat covers.
If you're looking for off road parks near NYC, closest and best place is probably Rausch Creek. Be warned though some of the trails you will need skids and A/T tires.
I think the conditions have to be perfect to replicated it. Mine also does it when its really humid outside. Im curious if the parking brake has to be adjusted.
I put mine on craigslist in Nyc and it took a bit to sell but they eventually sold to a guy with a jeep cherokee. If you list them on craigslist check other vehicles that come with that same tire size and list those. Might help to sell them quicker.
Rented a Range Rover a few years back that had one and I remember saying to my wife "I'd never buy a car with one of these things". Well here I am. Still hate it by the way.
For a $1200 add on those should have been painted already. Ford sells the ones on your car for $370. You need to find out where that extra money is that was probably supposed to go toward paint.
Price tag is a little much. I've been wanting one for ours but keep thinking maybe I'll buy the parts and weld one up myself. Seen some wilco ones pop up used once in a while but still positive you could do it for a lot cheaper yourself.
no road noise with the wildpeaks on the BS the FJ has a lot of road noise anyway because of the shape of it, its like a box going down the road, plus the k0s's have about 80k on them right now and are making some noise because of the wear. Hate to say it but cant really remember what it was like...
The BS OB on wildpeaks in 245/60/18 and my FJ with k02's with WHITE LETTERS OUT!
And one for size comparison but the Bronco still had stock tires on in the side by side photo.
I have 33" ko2's on my Fj and they have been great. Not a fan of the E rating in my size and they have a little bit of road noise, but they've been good none the less. But in a month or so when I swap them out I'll probably try something different on the FJ.
I put the wildpeak a/t's trails in...
So how long did it take you to get the 4Wp lift after ordering it? Seems this thing has been sold out for forever and the ones they get in go straight to the pre-orders or something.
I've had shocks leak before and its has always been small amounts and residue on the shock shaft or body. Its never been enough to leave evidence on the ground.
