I got the hitch installed on the BB last weekend. It was just doable by myself. Some help would have been nice. Now I just need to figure out how to get to the tail light wiring to hook up the pigtail for the trailer. I opened the rear hatch and looked for a way to remove an inside panel to...
Yes it did come with the cross bars. I like the way it sits rather low compared to some other cargo racks.
I plan on storing cargo in the racks! It is mostly for looks but I will be hauling a kayak from time to time. I do plan on camping and fishing with the Bronco Sport so extra gear storage...
Thanks for all the replys. I think you ALL of you are Amazing ! I have no doubt that we all have been perusing our owners manuals. Thing is we have different set ups in our different models. Can't diss someone that can't find a button that isn't even there. Especially when they are trying to...
As the totally unofficial president of the Vermont BS chapter, located in Huntington, I say we need some pics. I'll post a pic of my Big Bend atop the App Gap this weekend. Who's going to be the first one to drive up Mt Mansfield or better yet Mt Washington in NH.
I probably should have said that the gear selection is PRND and a button, L, for low. My first impression is that the low gear was for slower speeds. Guess I'll just hit some scenic roads this weekend and see what works best.
Thanks for all the responses. It seams that there is no definitive answer at this time. I think I will send an inquiry to Ford and see what they have to say about it. In the meantime I may hit the App Gap and try out sport mode for the descend. I do know that the sport mode is very lively on...
Here are a couple pics of my Big Bend in Kodiak Brown. I love the Yakima roof platforms but the price was just too much for me. I ended up buying a clearance roof rack made / sold by Joysale purchased on WalMart.com. It seems well made and being aluminum it wont rust in two years like the steel...
I love my Big Bend . The seats are more firm than comfortable. I have never had a Ford that had comfy seats. Hope I don't get banned but that is my limited experience with six Ford vehicles over the last forty years.
Yes, I am talking about not burning up my brakes while going down a steep long paved road / state highway. In my older vehicles I just put them in second gear to use the engine to help keep the vehicle from going too fast.
I did see that I could put it in low at any speed but that kind of...
Hello everyone at tha BSF. I have a quick question. Do put my transmission in Low for going down the App Gap or Lincoln Gap ( in Vermont )? What about some of those really long steep roads out West? I've been looking but could not find an answer. Thanks, Burke
