Roof Rack Rail Genuine Ford Accessory Cross-bars Are Designed Improperly (Will Not Tighten)

Interestingly enough, I met someone with a “First Edition” model that came from the factory with the cross-bars already installed, and the clamps were nice and snug without washers! So, I guess the ones they are selling as accessories are not exactly the same. What’s up with that?... I’m going...

Roof Rack Rail Genuine Ford Accessory Cross-bars Are Designed Improperly (Will Not Tighten)

The label for the front crossbar was present and obeyed (as was the "front" arrow on each crossbar) was . Even as such, both rails were equally loose. Don't really see any thinness or fatness difference in the roof rail along its length.

Roof Rack Rail Genuine Ford Accessory Cross-bars Are Designed Improperly (Will Not Tighten)

I ordered the roof rail cross-bars from my Ford dealer. The first set had two stripped screws that would not tighten. Got a replacement set, but they (like the first set, too) are designed improperly and the clamps that hold them to the rails are too long and won't tighten all the way. That...

I've Added Some Accessories to My Bronco Sport First Edition (Cyber Orange)

I ordered and received the roof rail cross-bars for my Big Bend model. However, the threads on the front cross-bar that secure its width were stripped from the “factory” and wouldn’t tighten. Additionally, the clamp that tightens them to the roof rail is also designed about 5mm’s too long and...

The cargo floor is now a little lower and angled downward, instead of higher and angled upward at the front. The pictures show the plastic female receptacles that metal square loop hooks on the removed bench seat snap into, and the angle of the cargo floor w/seat backs folded down on top of the...

Remove Rear Bench Seat From Bronco Sport - How-To

How do I get the bench (lower, plain, non-split, no under cushion storage type) seat out of my Bronco Sport (Big Bend) so that the seat backs will really fold flat enough to get my bike inside (standing up, seat post collapsed)? I don't see any attachment bolts. I’m going to answer my own...

    Bikes In the Cargo Area

Take a look at the pictures in my post. With the bench seat cushion removed and seat backs folded down, you can stand up a full suspension 29er (large frame) MTB with the seat post down and the front wheel off. And I’ve used my fork mount (with 100/110 Boost) through axle adapter) bolted to a...

    Bikes In the Cargo Area

Does anyone know how to remove the rear beach seat cushoin (non-split type) so that the seat backs will actually fold flat? Right now, there's no way I can stand up a large size MTB, even with the front wheel off and the seat-post collapsed all the way down. Thanks! (James, w/Big Bend model)
