Even though your response was intended as sarcasm, the point is even the latest, greatest injector (or sealing o-ring/hose, etc.) could possibly crack/fail. If there were significant injector cracking problems, you would definitely see a recall by the NHTSA. The drain path is needed...

Sorry for all your issues. However, I would like to see this specific "defective injector" recall. If it is the one concerning the drain tube and software update, you are flat out wrong, I wish folks would quit posting misinformation on the subject. Cheers!

It is not a "compensation" for either of those things! Any part on any vehicle can fail. A new injector, o-ring, hose can fail. You cannot design out failures! You can design in features to mitigate problems (such as fuel pooling/leaking onto possible ignition sources) should they occur. Cheers!

I have always been under the impression that the trigger was based on one/more of the tire pressures being different from the others by a certain amount (not that I know what that difference is). Cheers!

I've used them in the past and always found it to be a PITA waiting for the filter to dry after cleaning so I can re-oil it. The cleaner and oil is not inexpensive either. I also don't like using them on turbo motors (at least on my 7.3L PSD as they tend to not filter as well based on oil...
