Is it a true 2" lift? I have seen the 1.5" and the 3"+ lifts. Generally, anything over the 1.5" would require modifications to the CV with additional kits due to angle the CV will be under after a lift. A lot of the kinks have been worked out from the original 1.5" kit and a lot of users respond...
Update
It got chilly overnight so it was prime time to test the brake fix- Nope. Sounded exactly the same this morning. Probably not worth taking it back at this point until Ford figures out the issue more. Has anyone had success replacing the entire rear brake assembly with aftermarket? I would...
Looks like a quick-release mechanism to easily drain the oil without mess. I would also assume since the other is plastic, there is concern about long-term longevity and health of the threads. Although, you could likely damage the plastic oil pan if you are a klutz with the new plug or go to...
I have not since I don't have another one to try. I vaguely remember maybe using a different cable at first, so I might be using a cable without data transfer as @Rogerthat898 mentioned. I'll have to try another cable first as well.
I don't get this message, but I can pretty much never get android auto to work. It worked when I first set it up, but now nothing. My phone tells me use a different USB plug, but none work. Either the Type C or the Type A ports.
I dropped my vehicle off for the recall today as I never got around to having the drain tube installed. I also hit them with the leaking water pump, leaking rear glass, and the brake moan. Dealer seemed pretty knowledgeable and all should be fixed tomorrow. I am getting the updated water pump +...
I definitely feel it on low speeds with mine as well. As I mentioned in another thread, it can also happen under certain scenarios at higher speeds but low RPMs, like when on a slight decline.
Flexion of the vehicle could have compromised the seal of the boot for a split second allowing grease to come out. Might have just taken a while to smell it as it heated up on the engine components. I don't believe it would be detrimental to drive the vehicle if you have inspected the part and...
On pages 233-235 of the Owner's Manual, Ford specifies that engine sound "is enhanced" in Sport and Sand mode for all trims. It denotes engine sound enhancements specifically for GOAT Modes in the 2.0 as well. I believe it does use the technology according to the manual. It is hard to find...
It doesn't specifically mention it for the 1.5, but this alludes to it.
"The soundtrack that accompanies that acceleration won't inspire any hyperbole. This triple kind of moans the way most engines with an odd number of cylinders seem to. And whereas Ford's sound wizards have managed to...
Drive around with the radio off and give it some gas. When you get higher in the rev band you can hear it kick on and off as you release the pedal. It's a faint sound so it may depend on your age...
What exactly is turbo flutter?
Turbo flutter is the noise that occurs after you let go of the accelerator once you hit peak boost. It's caused by the airflow passing over the turbine blades in the turbocharger, which can be pretty loud.
But is turbo flutter bad? It's usually not harmful to...
Thanks for your response! The posted video is the same sound, albeit much more often and more pronounced. A lot of people in the aftermarket add intakes to amplify turbo noise just like this, but I guess they must all have faulty engines. Stututu doesn't exist unless it's bad :cwl:
Well, thanks everyone for your replies. I don't believe I have a bad BOV and I 100% hear the turbo noise. Maybe this has devolved into a discussion on semantics at this point.
Thanks for nothing ya party poopers
:crying:
I don't disagree that this may be causing a sound, but I do in fact hear the stututu from the video gatornek just posted. Does the re circulation valve act like a BOV? From my research, the 1.5 doesn't have a traditional BOV but I do hear the stututu and not as much of PSHHH like a BOV sound.
