We're currently in the second polar vortex event of the winter here in Northern Colorado and our '24 Big Bend is handling the bitter cold and snow packed roads flawlessly. The high today here was 11°! I can't speak for the Badlands model but I know there are many folks on this forum who are in...
Looks like it. This is a new '24 so I'm gonna assume the dealer either pulled it when they received it or when I bought it. The jump start worked on my '22 with the non agm battery and my '24 has the agm battery. I'm banking on this one not ever requiring the need for that pin!
This is quite interesting. My 2024 BB did not come with this pin. Is this supposed to be a "standard" equipment issue? When my previous '22 BB went into deep sleep in the garage, I had AAA come and jump start her. Once started I drove it out to the street where the tow driver loaded her onto...
My '22 BB had its original pump replaced, it was at a routine oil and filter change that the mechanic discovered the leak. I never suspected! This happened after the updated replacement instructions of flushing the system before the install. So from Friday to the next Tuesday we were given a...
Back in 1975 I was living in Redding, Ca. One night, around 230a I decided to drive down to S.F. to visit a friend. I played Pink Floyd's Dark side of the Moon and Captain Beyond (first album) all the way there. There's more to this story, but that's for another thread!
I had a 2008 Escape, albeit a v6 4wd and a 2018 Escape SE, 1.5l 4cyl ecoboost, both are listed as unreliable and to be avoided on the used market. The '08 went just short of 100k over 8yrs with no issues at all. The '18 was equally reliable in the 2 years we had her and traded at just under...
I have a '24 BB and I watch the tach. At initial start-up the rpms are generally just over a thousand, I wait until the r's fall to the normal range of about 800, then I go.
Sweet! I get you about uncorked with the 460! I bought the Maverick from a repair shop who took it from it's previous owner for non payment of work. I know it was bored 30 over and had a mild cam but we (son and I) never took the heads off to see what internals were. It was pretty healthy tho...
That is quite amazing! The 302 in my Comet and Maverick was a b#@$h to get long tubes in. And, I had to wrap them to keep from melting the plug wires! Running it uncorked was a blast as I'm certain it is for you in the Mustang! I know I've got pics somewhere of the Maverick or my son does. I'll...
Wow! That's a lot of motor crammed into the engine bay! What kind of headers are you running? Block huggers or shorties would appear to be the only ones that fit? You didn't move the shock towers either, from the looks of it. It looks great in there!
I replied on another post. Our 2022 experienced the very same failure back in 2023. Our dealership gave us a loaner for the 3 weeks they took to fix her. No problems after that!
Welcome 2025 models! Our 2022 BB experienced that very problem. Back in 2023! It was in the shop for 3 weeks. Our dealership gave us a loaner. No problems after that.
Great history and style of wheels, but I want to know more about what's under the hoods! Those outlaw scoops are hiding tall intakes I'm guessing! That blue '89 Mustang is my favorite fox body. My oldest son prefers the hatchback.
