Iām thinking this rather flippant response is correct. The moisture condition I first reported happened to be after the Ida rains. Today I noticed after a dry spell of several days the lights are completely free of any moisture. It would appear that they arenāt sealed in the traditional sense.
Iām too big and old to have any interest in sleeping in my BS but it strikes me that none of these solutions makes much sense without also considering the addition of some sort of rear hatch tent. I say that for ease in getting in/out, ventilation, and a place for your stuff displaced by...
My son borrowed my BB with about 5,000 miles the other day and sent me the attached pics of moisture in both headlights. Having ignored some moisture in a Prius headlight a few years ago led to a $800 replacement so Iām a little sensitive to this!

Fwiw, I added rear sensors via what amounts to a license plate holder for about $50 from Amazon. Wires into reverse light at taillight and gives audible beeping within about 3 feet. Works well on two cars now.
My son, a 5 yr BMW tech, just finished his EV training classes. In a general bs session afterward the trainers were talking about the current chip shortages and the impact they were having on BMW and other companies. Specifically they mentioned Ford as likely having to do away with the key fobs...
