No rattles, or noise from anywhere in the vehicle. As for shifting, it seems smooth in all ranges. Do you mean for "heavy shifting" ,a clunk ,or a lurch as it cycles thru? Then , no, I barely notice shifts.
I can sense a different feeling/rpm vs speed, in different GOAT modes. But all as...
My 21 badlands also has wild peaks, which I love! I don't get any sense of rattles or sounds from the sport, and any noise from the tires is nominal. Love every aspect of my rig!
As part of the class of '21, I am still quite happy with all aspects of the experience. I'm three years, 34k miles, "0" service issues. A couple recalls, but no breakdowns, no stranding. New tires, but no un needed car jewlery The Bl/Bl fits the reality of the NorthEast topography and...
To the OP's question, yes , shields do have to be removed to change oil/filter. Guessing a fastener was not replaced/tightened . Go back to the source. Good luck
The sport, is sized just right for my needs. No need for a bigger badder beast. Fuel economy is a real thing. The Bs/Bs trim pack has rung all my bells and whistles. Living in the north east precludes the heavy duty off road, overland experience the full size big brother would be better suited...

Have a '21 Badlands, badlands trim, now over 24K trouble free miles. Great service and sales experience , from initial ordering to delivery. Build quality is great, its been a blast on and off road, excellent winter warrior, fun all year round, daily driver. Expect to drive this till the wheels...
Both partner and I purchased cars in 2021, me a badlands/badlands, she a CR-V mid trim level.
both great cars and both are now 20K ish with no issues! Both agree mine is more fun, hers gets better milage. Both fill a different need and desire. Both have great build quality.
I as well have had this experience. I park in secured lots at home and work. I do not automatically lock any doors when I leave. In the lots, I leave the fob in the car. Some times upon return i find just the drivers door locked even with the fob in the car.
The morning email from Fo mo co, offers a $100 gift card and an apology stating that my delivery scheduled for the end of October wouldn't happen until the end of November. Then about noon the local salesman texted with a vid of my rig offloading in his lot.
A few days later...
