  1. Greetings...

    Welcome!
  2. Issues to look for at signing

My dealer gives me 2 free oil changes whenever I've purchased a new vehicle from them. I used one once... since then I just throw the coupons out. I'd rather do it myself as it gives me a chance to inspect everything underneath.
  3. My Badlands was destroyed by hail.

My Ford dealer has a good body shop. I've used it numerous times and they're top shelf.
  4. Hello from Hawaii!

    Welcome!
  5. Hello from DFW

    Welcome!
  6. Howdy

Howdy... again. Today I ordered a 2022 Badlands Bronco Sport with the Premium package and no moonroof, and added a few other things like the tow package and the copilot360. Told the salesman I didn't really want to get it before next summer so he could send me to the back of the line if they...
  7. Thoughts on Snow Tires?

I live in Alaska and we put blizzaks on all of our vehicles during the winter months, which is usually more than half of the year. The siping makes for a pretty good grip and winter tires help significantly when driving in hills. If you're mostly on flatland winter tires are less necessary.
  8. Favorite Ecoboost Motor Oil

Mobil 1 or Kirkland full synthetic
  9. Lug Nuts

For decades I avoided the well known lug nut issue... then last year I discovered I had a couple of swollen lugs on my Escape. They were a bear to get off and now I plan to get aftermarket lugs for my new vehicles right away as I don't want to have a flat and not be able to switch to a spare...
  10. Convince a city guy into a bronco sport

Get a truck. Sounds like you'll need the bed.
  11. Order or Wait for Dealer Inventory?

I always order. I don't even check to see what's on the dealer lot. I order exactly what I want and wouldn't have it any other way. The dealer then checks to see if there is a vehicle fitting my order in the pipeline that they can claim but so far every time it's gone to factory order. If...
  12. After a good 250 mile drive today, some thoughts.

I've got adaptive cruise control on my FE. I believe it was one of the first Ford's to come with it as an option.
  13. New Big Bend Yesterday!!!

Congrats. Your post reminds me of back in the spring of '98 when I had one of the first of the newly designed '99 F250s. Quite a few truckers tooted their horn when they'd see us on the highway. It was my first full size truck and I almost felt like I was driving something as big as an 18...
  14. Price negotiating with dealer??

Our local dealership hasn't ordered any of the Bronco Sports. My salesman told me that Ford has priced it in such a way that the dealers won't make money on it, even if it's loaded with options. He says they've discussed a dealer markup over invoice though they know that buyers don't like...
  15. Synthentic Blend to Full Synthetic?

I do my own oil changes and purchasing full synthetic when it's on sale makes for an economical oil change along with assurance that I've got good oil in the engine. I'm sure the mix is fine and even non-synthetic would probably be fine, but I figure synthetic is probably better for today's...
  16. Ford Bronco engine review

No problems with my 2.0l Ecoboost in a 2017 Escape, and it has plenty of power. I like the engine.
  17. Howdy

I'm interested in getting a Bronco Sport in about a year and a half, so it'll probably end up being a 2022 model. I've currently got a 3rd generation Escape that I like well enough, but I'd already decided that the 4th generation Escape just wasn't for me. Being a Ford guy, I was happy to...
