Complete trash - the ONLY thing that will stop an EMP is if your vehicle was sealed in a Lead encased Faraday Cage hopefully buried below grade as to attenuate the pulse further....Have fun building that bunker!:crackup:
I'll be ON my Bronco...LOL
I had mice in my BB, under the dirvers seat (never had this in any other vehicle before) called insurance comany and they had a specialist contractor pull everything apart, check, clean and sterilize eveything!! Then put it all back together with many new parts, flooring, insulation, rear seat...
This is one time I'd like to say dealing with a reputable dealership and having a good relationship over the years is certainly a refreshing experience as I read issues like these.
The family has owned several Ford's over the years, 2 escapes, E350, F150 and the newest is our BB.
I have never...
Highly recommend Truma https://www.truma.com/
Extremely efficient and single or multi zone options. Very much designed for off-grid use and I ran mine (C30) for 4 days off a 800w LiPo pack during a week of remote summer camping.
Hmmm, that is unsettling. I have already turned down several offers to trade up to a newer vehicle because I find the larger screen and integrated controls very distracting and unsafe now. I frequently turn my screen 'off' during night driving.
I think I'll speed up my restoration on my '06...
Factory ordered 2022 BB, 2 1/2 years and 84000km later- no issues (other than an accident claim), 4 major long distance trips and trailer towing - no issues and going strong!
That sounds amazing!
I have my '22 BB that just turned over 84 000km and I did a detailed report after the recent BCM/PCM recall (https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/engine-performance-after-bcm-pcm-recall.11678/post-199567)
On NORMAL mode almost all the time and now averaging...
With EV's being 7 times more impactful to the environment to construct than an ICE vehicle, 99% of my driving is Highway (30k/yr just for work) combined withg rurual living, winters of -40 (c/f) and a crappy electrical grid, I have a difficult time with justification for even a Hybrid. I am...
Update to the update:
1200km driven since returned from the trip and unloaded the gear. In that time with general commuting and everyday city/rural combined driving the BB is is providing 7.7L/100km or 30.5473 US MPG!!!
22 Big Bend here, 81000km and other than the usual maintenance and issued recalls, I haven't had any issues such as that. I would suggest you check with your dealership to see if all the TSBs, recalls and CSP issues have been addressed as I think some of the issues you are experiencing must be...
Okay Cheryl and everyone, here is the post trip update and a picture of the kit we were carrying for reference.
Here are the stats with some real life costs thrown in for good measure, apologies to our US friends for inaccurate conversions but tried my best.
Trip - Winnipeg, Manitoba to...
Just came back from a trip to the West Coast - Sechelt, British Columbia at Porpoise Bay Campground with this setup. Hoping to fine tune some things in the future. First trip with this kit.
I still can't believe the BB fuel mileage! AMAZING, even towing through the coastal mountain roads...
Sounds like you had a great trip! Thanks for sharing.
Leaving on Saturday for a 4800km (3k mile) round trip to the west coast for a camping trip, first big trip in the BB since we bought in 22. I'll keep track of the stats as well since the recent update. Hopefully an equally positive experience!
Leaving for vacation on Saturday to the West Coast about 4800km (3000mile) round trip with some light towing. I'm going to track the overall mileage for the trip and will check in when I'm back.
My thoughts too, however with the extended warranty option I could see close to $3k. My previous Escape had the entire front suspension replaced under the extended program. Cost me $100.00 as opposed to the $2700.00 repairs. I was thankful for that!
I went aftermarket from the manufacturer direct. I have not had any issues with fit or looseness. I put them on in the spring, use a cargo carrier for camping take it off in the fall. No rattles or wriggling.
I check for tightness when putting the carrier on and taking it off and I have not had...
