    Definitely stressed with its displacement with turbo. Mechanics will agree to that. I've heard, read and have seen videos saying that.

    Well, Ford is not GM. Maybe GM engineers are a bit smarter. I don't buy GM vehicles so I don't know if their 3 cyl turbos have issues like Ford.

    The 3 cyl 1.5 is too small for a turbo. It works hard for more power, MPGs, and less emissions. Too small of a 3 cyl displacement to handle a turbo. Also, there's a bit of a vibration felt holding the steering wheel when stopped and in gear. A 4th cylinder may have helped.

    I had two Lincoln models with the 2.0L. The 2.0L is a good engine. The 1.5L not so much.

    This little 1.5l displacement works hard enough. I'd worry about putting any extra strain on it but that's me. :)

    I love just about everything in my OBX except the engine. The 2.0L option in an OBX would make it much better.

    I agree but it happens due to a faulty part. Has Ford updated the part like they did with the water pump?

    He may have a point. The injectors are weak and may crack. Upgrade the injectors or maybe Ford has.
