where is it coming from and what kind of noise? I have rattling/rubbing sound on the rear passenger side

My only sound left is coming from the right rear when driving over several continuous small bumps, I get a rattling or rubbing sound. It doesn’t do it on large bumps or dips up or down. Taking it for alignment and to have my work checked at ford on Monday

i am a bit confused, doesn’t the spacer only go on one way? How can you install the spacer without seating it ?

they have a different set of roof rails than the lower end models.

Seats are lacking, then again I’m coming from VW and BMW which have great seats. I’m not a fan as the side bolster is far too low for me

is this the front or rear sway bar or both? I get that thunk/clunk sound going over bumps. It’s not a rattling like something is loose though. please let me know what has to be done to fix this?

from what I have heard that people with that kit have had no issues. It is much less advanced of a kit than rough country as there Is no front sway bar links to replace nor on the rear is there a trailing arm drop kit.

I installed the rough country and it’s very rough going over bumps. Harsh and stiff. Could be a function of my tires. I do get a clunk sound going over bumps.

I have this same problem. Clunking sounds when going over bumps. Wish I knew what the issue was.

I installed mine about a week or so ago, the ride over bumps is now unbearably stiff, on flat road with no bumps I notice nothing at all. the ride quality with this kit is horrible compared to stock if there is any road imperfections. do you notice this?

Tailgate swing mount is a serious pain in the ass if you have to use your tailgate regularly on a daily basis. the only way an OEM would do this is if there was a horizontal opening door a la defender and land cruiser prado

are you talking about the tiny plastic ones? If so those are not on the badlands model despite it having the same bumper. I’d remove them

the pirelli tires are .6 inches smaller so it would be 8.5 then it seems.

So it appears that the badlands without the larger tires pretty much the same clearance as all the other models but has heavier duty shocks and knuckles?

I saw the black badlands in Carlsbad and the Area 51 outer banks in downtown Encinitas. I know they’re are two besides me in the area. let Me know when you get yours so we can hit the trails.

according the the specs the badlands with 29 inch tires has an additional inch of clearance, I haven’t seen anything without the 29 inch tires

I guess I was wondering the difference between the badlands suspension and the base/bb/OB models.

What are the technical differences between the suspension systems? It appears to have “unique coil springs” and “unique cast knuckle” also ford doesn’t provide ground clearance numbers for the badlands without The optional 29 inch tires. Does anyone know the clearance without them?
