  1. Steel 16” wheels!

Same outer dimensions as the 245 65 r16 tires people have been mounting. Read some mixed things about whether they rub at full articulation. Might also be pushing it on the width of these particular rims, which are 6.5ā€. Edit: Looks like BFG in that size are good for 6.5ā€ rim, maybe not an issue.
  2. Steel 16” wheels!

I don’t know if it will make any difference, but a taller profile tire should flex and grip more when aired down. It’s also half an inch father before your rim bottoms out on an impact. Going to 16ā€ steel also kept the weight the same as 17ā€ alloy.
  3. 5x108 Bolt Pattern is a pain

Not a ton out there yet, most vehicles with the same bolt pattern have a lot more offset, and are street oriented vehicles. There’s the Alphaequipt Foxtrot, but it’s $225 per wheel. I got cheap 16ā€ steel rims to work. Thread here.
  4. Brand new with a question

I definitely have the hours of assorted noises after any interaction with the vehicle.
  5. Bronco Sport Badlands dies crossing 20" of Water

Plenty of other problems though ?
  6. Bronco Sport Badlands dies crossing 20" of Water

It might just be the pins. I’d try contact cleaner if it could mean getting it running
  7. Steel 16” wheels!

Update: Got ā€˜em, with a good deal on BFG KO2s in 235/70/R16. Gonna give them a test in the desert this weekend.
  8. Aftermarket Front Tow Hooks for Outer Banks- Can it be done?

Don’t know if anyone has done it yet, but I would be almost certain you can. It just attaches to a hole in the frame and a tab on the internal bumper. Definitely the same frame, and no reason for a different bumper. A forum member took his off and painted them...
  9. Ethanol in the stock fueling system

I would think focus or escape owners with the same 2.0 would be the ones to ask if they’ve had any success. Bronco sport hasn’t been out long enough to break much.
  10. Bronco Sport Badlands dies crossing 20" of Water

I became pretty skeptical of the water fording claims when I saw where the ECU is. Sorry you had to prove my suspicion. Hope it gets sorted out as painlessly as possible. I’ll probably grease mine up real good now, though I think I’ve got some months till we see much water around here.
  11. New Kia Sorento x-line

The sport is tiny other than height and the amount of hood. Same length and only 2ā€ wider than a Ford Focus. 10ā€ Shorter and 7 to 10 fewer cubic feet inside than a Honda CRV. Front seats are spacious, but back seat and cargo area are not. Most of the measurements are in between a Jeep Compass...
  12. Yakima Timberline Cross Bars

I would guess sliding them aft would help with noise, but there’s a wrinkle. The rails are not parallel, so you would have to adjust the towers on the front crossbar.
  13. Rear flood lamps on tailgate

Also, they can be turned on with the hatch closed. Useful for grabbing stuff through the glass.
  14. Locking diff kit?

There’s also the Cherokee trail hawk for lockers and a low range transfer case in a compact Crossover. Too much overkill for me, and I liked a lot of the other features of my BL.
  15. 1.5L Model AWD/4x4

2.0L also has liquid cooling on the center diff, so it can do more before overheating in 4wd
  16. Locking diff kit?

Would a true locking rear be any use without a locking center? I guess the center has cooling, but still clutched.
  17. Tow hooks for Big Bend trim level. Aftermarket or factory ones ?

Nudge bar would be another option
  18. Rock sliders for Bronco Sport?

Thinking about it, haven’t had time to pull the plastic off and look. Might wait till a commercial offering is out to see what the price is, and what they attach to. Will probably fabricate if they’re too spendy or nothing is available in a couple months.
  19. Extra room under the hood

I thought about an air tank too, figured a compressor wouldn’t like the heat, and would need to go elsewhere
