Thanks, yeah mine did the same. It arrived two days earlier than expected, but has been sitting there those two days. It also moved to Madison, like yours.
UP did give an estimate for its arrival in New Jersey, September 2nd. So hopefully it’ll stay on track for that! Ford told me September...
Been tracking mine, it’s at the interchange in St. Louis, IL. I’m curious, if it changes trains here, does the rail car number change or is it still the same? I’d assume it stays the same since Union Pacific has the final destination in New Jersey when I call.
If anyone wants to print out the Open Rail map, I took a huge capture of it, which I'll link here.
Norfolk Southern is the only one giving me locations, UP just says "loaded" and CSX says it was released to UP back in June, before the car was built (obviously wrong info).
I've tacked the rail...
Small update, I got the official “your bronco sport has been built” e-mail two days after the official tracker showed it as built
Question for you guys, how do you track where it is on the railroad? Do you just call/chat with ford? From what it seems like United Road is just the company that...
Yup, still in purgatory this morning. Will probably check again tonight, but I'm not sure if I'll see movement until Monday. Order was placed 4/3 confirmed 4/6. Congrats to all who have gotten theirs to the next stages!
Just called my dealership and they told me they didn't hear anything about the chip shortage Ford customer service told me about, said my car is built, and that my car is "about two weeks out". Not sure if that's in fact the case, but I hope so!
Just out of pure curiosity, I’d love to know specifically what chip is holding you up. I know it doesn’t change anything, but it would be interesting to find out. A ford rep I spoke to said this delay is likely due to the fact a chip factory in Japan burned down.
Welcome to the July 4th build week waiting room! Glad we have someone here with a vested interest in getting a car from that build week delivered, plus a bit of an “in” since you work for the dealership. Who knows, you may have even set the ball rolling that led to us all getting that extra bit...
The only thing that concerns me is the "rot" part of lot rot. I'm not thrilled my brand new car might be standing still out in the elements for the next 5 months (or heaven forbid more) without being moved, without being maintained at all. It's not like it's at a dealership where there will...
Just called the number @Hooligan88 gave me, I got the same answer. Missing a chip. Apparently one of the plants in Japan where they get the chips from burned down.
I asked about a timeline, said it likely won't be a year or anything crazy like that, could even be as short as a few weeks...
I’m also build week 7/4, also still “in production” as of today, I want to see if I get that same answer about a chip missing.
What did you guys do, use an online support Chat, or call on the phone? Would you mind dropping a link or a phone number for me?
Any word on decontenting, what's been removed on the 23's that was present on the 22's? Or will we just have to wait until dealerships/owners start getting the cars?
My car still says "inactive" on United Road, started being built 7/6. Whether it's built or not, I think it's safe to say it's still in Hermosillo.
@Jenbeth you said that it's likely on a train because it won't update, but when it does update, does the location still say Hermosillo? Wouldn't...
