That just means that Florida residents can't purchase a Ford ESP from an out of state dealer. It doesn't mean that the Ford ESP is not valid in Florida. If you already have an ESP and move to Florida you are good.
I am curious about those of you who are like me and bought off a lot rather than placing an order. Did you get the color/trim/options you wanted, or did you have to settle for something else because you wanted the Sport that much.
For me the BS wasn't even on the radar. I was looking into a...
You are still within the factory bumper to bumper warranty which is 3/36, so you would have been ok without the extended warranty. However, the transmission is part of the powertrain warranty which is 5/60 so you would have had awhile to be covered there. I recently added a 6/60 warranty for my...
It's mostly because the BS tends to not downshift at lower rpms and speeds, meaning whatever gear it is in, it's running at like 1200 rpm or so. Goose the gas to get it to shift into a lower gear, the rpms go up and the shudder goes away. I don't know for sure, but I don't think it uses 2 cyl...
I would think that Ford would want to know about a dealer that is refusing to provide warranty repair services. If they actually refuse it, a call to Ford would be in order.
It's about $100 more including the adapters so not too bad. I don't have any experience with powerbass so I cannot say whether they are as good as the pioneers I was just pointing out that they do sound pretty amazing. As for time, I spent maybe 10 minutes for each speaker sealing them to the...
I went with the pioneer speakers you listed. Pioneer has never let me down and these sound amazing. It's really not that much more work to use the brackets and wire adapters. I've used Kenwood and Focals over the years in other vehicles and the Pioneers have always been the best. I listen to...
It's not just about peformance from the factory it's likely about efficiency too. If that tune results in poorer fuel economy, why would they do that? I'm sure there's way more than we know that goes into the factory tune but I am sure it is a balance of having enough horsepower to move the...
The way I look at it is I have some extra power when I need it. I don't flog it or floor it all the time. A lot of the Mustang guys do mods other than the tunes and probably push things way harder than anyone driving a Bronco Sport would. Ford themselves sell a tune for the Ecoboost Mustang that...
Given the power gains shown in the dyno sheet I imagine it is similar to the Honda since the power gains were similar. They have been doing this a long time so they know what is safe and manufacturers are crazy conservative on their tunes. For example, there are guys getting 260hp on otherwise...
Nope, no details as to what the parameters are with each tune. I don't even know what the stock psi of the turbo in this vehicle is. I had a 1.5T civic for a while that I also tuned. It had similar horsepower to this engine and was 16.5 psi stock and the stage 2 tune for 92 octane that I ran was...
I am seeing some way high prices in this thread. I think Zeigler ford is your best bet. I saw someone mention $2800 for 8 yrs/100k/$100. Same ford protect warranty from zeigler is $1640. I haven't purchased mine yet but I am going to do it just before my 1 year is up. They go up slightly after...
I have only tried the sport mode and other than the normal higher rpms in a given gear it doesn't make as much difference from normal mode as it did before the tune. For this reason I just keep it in normal mode because it just doesn't feel like it needs any extra.
Maybe it is just the butt-o-meter, but away from a stoplight the BS feels quicker to get going and more responsive. I don't drive the passport every day but did most of the driving on a 3000 mile road trip this summer. When we got back the BS felt super quick compared to the passport. It is...
Big bend is listed as 3467lbs (badlands is 3700) so if the dyno sheet is right my BS is probably producing maybe 220hp (just a guess since the 93 tune was 230hp) which is just about 15lbs/hp. However, it is likely the low end torque that makes a difference here. Again if the dyno sheet is right...
Currently running the 91 octane tune since early summer. Kind of a bad time to run premium all the time but I have had it for 10 months now and only have 6000 miles so I don't really drive a lot. For some reason I had it in my head that premium around here was 91 octane so that's what I chose...
