I honestly don't think it's a bad idea, but it's not feasible in current configurations. My son works for an engineering firm who designs and builds a lot of these components. He is working in quality engineering on some of the projects. He inspects upwards of 150+ weld points on some parts. It...
I'm very handy with a k-12 extrication saw....I'll gladly remove your roof at no charge and we can learn from there if it was a great idea. I'd suggest instead....BUY A BRONCO THEY ALREADY DO THAT
They have those...it's called a Bronco. The idea is for you to dream and buy up. What financial sense does it make to put all the goodies on the cheapest line? I know everyone has a wish list but it gets absurd some of the wants...you want it, buy up.
Accidental hero of the day. Great job because you know you weren't their last target. Let's just hope you live in an area with a DA who has the stones to execute the law and put them away for a while
Ironically just read an article, it was noted the Ford due to empty and mpg calculator onboard are considered the standard all other manufacturers should follow. It was rated the best in industry for consistent accuracy. One of the tests, at Michigan Speedway they line up 200 plus vehicles and...
Absolutely. And it sucks when it's yours sounding the alarm, I'm not discrediting those who've had serious issues. This blog is a microcosm of BS produced so all in all every brand every line has it's issues...not everyone can build a Yugo??
Disregard the handful of negativity. YES problems are legitimate as are concerns, bottom line, ten, even a hundred "bad" stories represents a small sample. I'd argue the silent satisfaction far outweighs the negative problems. It's a well built highly technical BA machine.
It has to do with your driving. Not a personal slight, you pulled 30s open road. NYC is high pressure...it's hard on the gas harder on the brakes. It would crush your mpg driving hard and aggressively. This is a heavy brick. If you are soft on the pedal and keep a constant speed, mpg will be...
It does look like a snaffle bit now that you mention it. Coincidence? Only the design engineers know if that was the inspiration. Wouldn't be shocked being equine themed
I'd sell it now...it's imperfect and that will possibly affect the audio system and create a rattle while reducing mpg...I kid..I kid.rustoleum probably a good idea on the metal doesn't need to be fancy. Use a word brush to loosen excess paint hanging on, but it looks clean. As for the fabric if...
I'd suggest if you care, reset it every fill up. Use it as a guide. If you average 28-30 every stop that's pretty solid. If it drops into 22-25 and you know it's been a lot of stop and go traffic then you know what impact it has.
If you want straight calculation fill up, reset your trip odo...
Hate to say it and everyone has their break point....it isn't much better with any other manufacturers. Lots all around me are bare as a bone. Good luck with whatever you decide. You might be lucky starting over.
mine came with an advertisement plug cover from my dealer. Honestly I left it there, it wasn't tacky and easy to remove rather than dealers adding their own decals to my paint. I bought a bike rack and it came with a bolt. I went to the local hardware and bought a locking pin as Kingprawn...
Hard to beat manufacturers spec...plus I'd argue should a problem ever arise your efforts would favor you for service...how can they say it's your fault if they did the work by their book?
Perhaps I don't know all of it, if I plug in under the dash it's a direct connect to the audio/infotainment. If I plug inside or to the rear ports of the armrest it only provides power not connection. I don't think it's tied to the navotainment screen.
Either way, sounds like you got the carplay...
I think you are still in a seller's market especially badlands. You COULD get back more than you owe if the right buyer comes along. I'd say you are in the driver's seat...pun intended
I'd guess it would be more inline with the 1.5/Big Bend trim. That seems to be the most common version on dealer lots, just a guess but seems to be an ideal direction. Anyone looking for a hybrid LIKELY isn't looking for a rugged off-road beast.
I know there is a collection of cake eaters who...
