  1. Upset over missing engine cover!

My 2019 Escape has the 2.0 Ecoboost with engine cover and hood insulation. With the Badlands not having the engine cover and (potentially) hood insulation, will engine noise be significantly louder on the outside and inside?
  2. Any Comparisons with upcoming Mazda CX-50?

I very much used to like luxurious-looking vehicles. However, I’ve come to realize I actually don’t. They’re not particularly practical and they all look very similar. Not to mention the mediocre AWD systems many have. The BS is practical, especially the Badlands version, in a place like...
  3. Waiting room

Hi everyone! We finally ordered our 2022 Badlands with the Premium Package and Co-Pilot360 Assist+ in Area 51 with Carbonized Gray roof. $100 down, no obligation. Very excited! Hopefully things go smoothly. I’m expecting to have to wait several months. My dealer thinks it should be OK but is...
  4. Amber wrench indicator light on instrument panel

Ford using inferior parts due to shortages? Poor assembly?
  5. Amber wrench indicator light on instrument panel

We will definitely look the vehicle over very closely and take it for an extended test drive to make sure there are no immediate or obvious problems. Our 2016 Fusion had no mechanical problems whatsoever, and our current vehicle, a 2019 Escape, has had zero mechanical problems.
  6. Amber wrench indicator light on instrument panel

I agree. I’m about to place an order for a Badlands and it’s a little worrying. The number of these reports, which are similar in nature, is concerning.
  7. Ford Bronco Sport ordering process - how should it work?

We’re about to order a Badlands from our local dealer. All they require is a $100 deposit with no other obligations. They said we can opt for any deal/incentives Ford or the dealership offers in the time it takes to get the vehicle. Is that standard procedure?
  8. Last minute ADM/ransom demands on delivery of ordered BS

There’s several Ford dealerships within an hour of where I live, They were bending over backwards for us back in 2015 and 2019 when things were pretty good. Our dealer has been very honest about the current situation they’re in. We had a conversation with the manager and sales guy and they...
  9. Car wash with roof basket?

Do they have any impact on a ceramic coating?
  10. On this episode of, "Is this noise normal?"...

All I know is that it sounded rough as hell compared to our 2.0 Ecoboost!
  11. On this episode of, "Is this noise normal?"...

When we test drove a used 2021 BS BB last week we immediately noticed what sounded like engine or transmission rattling and other unusual noises. We were surprised. My wife thought it was a lemon someone quickly got rid of. We are going to order a BS BL very soon. Hopefully it doesn’t have the...
  12. Car wash with roof basket?

Are touch free car washes safe? We haven’t had much choice but to use a touch free car wash to clean our 19 Escape for the past three years. It’s been through numerous times. I haven’t noticed any obvious damage or swirl marks. It looks great after the rare hand wash I’m able to do. When we...
  13. Escape to Badlands

What did you like more about the Escape?
  14. Gap in rear door trim.

Should that not be completely flush with the door panel? Seems quite unacceptable. Warranty issue?
  15. ALL 2.0 Engines after Feb 1, 2022 (Engine Cover)

Is the temperature indicated anywhere or is it just a basic hot/cold knob?
  16. Escape to Badlands

Thanks for your response. Really helpful!
  17. Paint chips

In 2015 we leased a white platinum 2016 Ford Fusion. After a week or so of driving we noticed paint problems virtually everywhere: front, back, sides and roof. The paint was peeling off, bubbling and chipping. The dealer repainted the entire car and fixed several other quality issues. After...
  18. Escape to Badlands

Thank you all for responding. I figured the thread title might attract some attention! Of course, the Badlands is not an Escape. My point was purely in relation to the 1.5L 3-cylinder engine and the performance and vibration we experienced. We very much like the Bronco Sport otherwise and it’s...
  19. Escape to Badlands

Hello everyone. The lease on our 2019 Escape Titanium 2.0 AWD is approaching its end. We will need to extend the lease until we’re able to get our hands on a replacement. We recently had a discussion with our dealer who explained just how bad the situation regarding stock, incentives and...
