Thanks for the replies.
Using Falken Wildpeaks all year round would be a lot easier.
Would I likely see a reduction in fuel economy compared to the the Scorpions?
Also, how good would they really be compared to a dedicated winter tire?
Iām going to put winter tires (Blizzaks) on my Badlands when the time comes. I want to avoid damaging the OEM rims.
Can I trust any of the national tire chains to not damage the rims? Some of the videos on YT donāt inspire confidence.
Perhaps itās best to let my Ford dealer do it?
Or is it...
None of the Ford dealers in my area have ever tried to add on options or additional fees, or lied to me about pricing. They have followed through on any promises as well.
Is that not how most Ford dealers operate?
My wifeās mother went through a phase of going 55 on the highway and interstate to save money. She would slowly build up speed on the ramp.
Everyone else was doing 70-90 and getting seriously angry in some cases.
I was in the backseat one time. It was dangerous and quite scary.
I could not disagree more.
The 1.5 in the BS I tested felt and sounded significantly different to the 2.0 in my 19 Escape Titanium.
The 2.0 genuinely feels stronger, quicker, quieter and more refined. The difference isnāt small at all.
Itās the better engine In pretty much every way except...
The only time I look under the hood is to check for mouse nests.
My Ford dealer takes care of everything else.
What benefit does the engine cover have other than looking more aesthetically pleasing?
There is a house close to where I live that has a seriously steep (yet short) driveway. Thereās absolutely no way a car or even most regular SUVs could get up or down it without a lot of scraping. Iāve never seen the owner use it and I have no idea why it was designed that way.
After owning a Ford with the 2.0 Ecoboost for the past three years, the 1.5 in the BS I test drove felt noticeably slower and less refined. I think it has adequate power.
Itās possible the one I test drove had something wrong with it, but I couldnāt get over the amount of engine vibration that...
I wouldnāt worry about the technical aspect of it. The system works. Itās that simple.
I guess I might have concerns if I lived in one of the crime-ridden cities, but I live in a small town.
Weāve been doing it for years now. We did it with our two Fusions, our Escape and weāll continue to do it with our Bronco Sport.
It has never, ever failed.
Itās an extremely useful feature and something we love about Fords!
I understand your point, but the idea of special ordering a vehicle, waiting months for it to arrive and then finding out the dealer has allowed other people to drive it (maybe abuse it) is not acceptable to me.
A vehicle thatās on the lot is a different matter.
Thatās a tiny magnet!
If Ford is using the same speakers (just more of them) for the premium sound system, why would any stereo company want to put their name on it?
What exactly did B&O add to it?
I agree. I think the reason paper cones have a bad reputation is because most cheap, low quality speakers are made with them.
When I was in the market for a new set of speakers I listened to multiple brands and types. I even listened to a couple of $10,000+ speakers expecting to be wowed and I...
The B&O system is an extra cost. Itās part of the premium package costing $2000+.
I donāt think itās unreasonable to expect higher quality speakers and a higher quality amplifier to be used.
I havenāt had chance to listen to the B&O system in my Badlands yet as Iām still waiting to get it...
Is it really that bad? It sounds like there is something wrong.
Does anyone have pictures of the B&O drivers and amplifier used in the BS?
Personally, I would not buy B&O hi-fi equipment as I think it is overpriced. However, I would expect there to be at least some level of quality with their...
