  1. Wrapped Steering Wheel.

I just installed a similar cover - how did you raise that trim up at the bottom? I don't want to break mine. Did you just pry it up, or are there fasteners somewhere? Thanks.
  2. 87 vs 91 Octane?

Not claiming to be the expert on this, but here goes... I have had Turbo Saabs for many years. They had a knock sensor in the block that detected pre-detonation/engine knock - it is a closed loop system. On a Turbo, the higher the boost increases the effective compression ratio of the engine -...
  3. Why did you order a Bronco Sport?

I was not in the market for the Bronco Sport. I was looking for a CRV/RAV4/Forester type of vehicle and the Bronco was not on my shopping list. Due to the car shortage (and used cars being over priced), I put name name on the waiting lists of a number of dealers looking for a car in my price...
  4. Rear brakes squeal in reverse - told its normal?!?

That is interesting - the car and driver article that I had posted said it was the rear brakes. I may just throw some new ceramic shoes in there myself to get rid of the squeal...
  5. We love our BS.... but name one thing you dislike about it

In mine, my first bad impression was the hard plastic steering wheel. I have added a decent cover to it, so it is not too bad now, but I wish mine had a leather wrapped wheel. Other than that, I wish it had a few inches more rear seat leg room (it is adequate for my family, but not by much). I...
  6. 1.5L Dragon Reviews and Impressions in other Vehicles

Different strokes - I was cross shopping many different vehicles in the Bronco Sports class - CRVs, RAVs, Forester (our other car is an Outback, which we really like). For me, I would not have considered the Bronco Sport if the 1.5 was not offered - I have a 70 mile round trip to work every day...
  7. 1.5L Dragon Reliability

Back in the 80's I drove a 1984 Saab Turbo to about 350,000 miles - it rusted out, but still ran great when I drove it to the junkyard. It needed a lot of maintenance(brakes, heater cores, ball joints, etc.) while I had it, but the engine was always reliable. I still have another Saab Turbo now...
  8. Rear brakes squeal in reverse - told its normal?!?

My 2022 does the same - seems to be loudest in reverse when cold. There is a Ford recall coming on the rear brakes - seems to be for a different braking issue, but faulty pads are the cause. So Ford may be replacing the rear shoes in the future...
  9. Android Auto worked...for about 2 weeks

FYI - I had a similar issue a while back - could not find a fix on any of the boards. By accident I found the solution. In the Android Auto app on your phone, turn off the "Use Bluetooth" option. Android auto doesn't work with Bluetooth - it needs the USB cable - and having that option turned on...
  10. Center Console Carbon Fiber Cover Trim - Perfect fit for my Bronco Sport car!!Recommended

I had bought one of these on Amazon - this item is listed under several brands - mine fit and looks better than I expected - I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted it because I use a metal insulated container for my hot drinks and did not want to chew up the factory console cover. Installed very...
  11. Unofficial MPG thread for the 1.5L

I have a 2022 Bronco Sport Big Bend - I drive 70 miles round trip to work each day - city and highway. I tend more toward old lady and I use Eco mode - about 67-68 mph (cruise) on highway. My dash mileage has been showing about a 29.2 MPG average - and I bought the car this winter - warming it...
  12. Keeping Dome light on

Hi - I have a 2022 Bronco Sport - long story short - I have to take my daughter to a practice each week - it is in the evening and too far away to go back home - so I have to sit in the car and wait for her for 2 hours. I enjoy reading and usually bring a book with me. My car has the fob...
