Yeah moving forward the dealership even lowered its expectations when it came to mods. It understood that people buy GLIs,GTIs, and Rs to mod.
If it was a bolt on, coilovers or brakes and lines they typically just covered it moving forward if it was an apr car they look at the drivers habits...
With most aftermarket mods you are covered by the magnuson-moss act which means they cannot deny a claim based on aftermarket parts unless that part is the cause of the problem. Ive been through it with a car and I know people who have as well.
A buddy of mine when I worked at the dealership...
I have the RC lift with HRG swaybar links.
I havent had any issues thus far but I will agree with the dealership when they say it rides a tad different.
Any body lift will give you a rougher ride with some body roll because it sits higher.
Had this happen with my FRS. I changed the oil on my own and had an aftermarket header on at the time. Engine went and they denied the claim.
They said that they could do an investigation (hold car, do oil testing, tear down engine etc) and if the claim is still denied I would have to pay for...
Modular bumper would be awesome with potential winch mount (nothing to crazy).
Honestly I would love a good cargo organizer for my trunk to keep my camera gear and hiking gear.
I often carry axes, mauls and chainsaw for my property and I would love some sort of rack for these things.
As someone who goes to that area on a regular basis the 1.5 does really well in the mountains.
I wanted the badlands and unfortunately when I ordered mine they shut down ordering for the badlands so I ordered a ob.
I can't wait to hear about them!
From looking at the pics on their site it looks like they have a real quality product. It is hard to tell via picture but after using a few brands of coilovers throughout the years it looks as though they used quality materials, and the welds look pretty great too.
Just wanted to give an update to this post for those who may have questions about the kit and how it is.
I must say I after looking at the RC swaybar links and brackets I could see why there were failures and comparing them to the HRG ones it is a night and day difference. The sway bar links...
When my wife and I needed a new car the original plan was to get a full-size bronco for our hiking and camping trips and also to tow. Unfortunately living in Ohio a hard top was a must and ford was having issues with the resin plus there was a pretty long wait according to our dealership.
Our...
I was thinking this but I would imagine the 18inch outerbanks wheels are a similar weight to the new wheels he has on now.
Shoot my fifteen52s with open countries seem super light compared to the factory 18s.
Good choice!
My wife has a mk7 GLI and is getting a four door bronco (i know i have the baby one) and I am ordering a new s3 (pretty much a golf r) we are both keeping our broncos and euros.
I got it because I have my FRS which is more of a track project these days and we have a 6 year old a...
I personally love my open countries!
I am in the snowbelt here in Ohio and I was pleasantly surprised at how they are in the snow. On top of that I have been clearing a property so my wife and I could build our house. The property is 300-350ft of mud and ruts in the rain it trucked through and...
I currently have the rough country kit with hrg sway bar links and its okay for a spacer. That being said all of my other cars have had coilovers for example my srt4 with bc coils, my mk4 gli had fks, my b5 s4 had konis and my frs had bc coils and currently has ohlins.
I am new to lifted...
It looks soo good with the push bar and rack!
Also the toyo open countries seem to be the go to!
I just got them for my fifteen52s, how are they in the snow?
